We arrived at the Zeus Hotel, much to my unease. I tried to stop worrying about if and when I will run into Youngdo and tried to focus on the matter at hand, getting Choi Dong Wook to sign the deal with us. Before that just checking in and getting some rest after my long flight. I sighed, trailing behind Eddie as we entered the lobby and he walked up to the front desk, talking to the receptionist to check me in.
Looking around at the beautiful interior, I realized that I hadn't been here in a while, I missed this place. Kim Tan and I would sometimes tag along with Youngdo when he came here after school to do the dishes since middle school and play video games in one of the suites. The memories came flooding back. I shook my head, trying my best to not get lost in my thoughts.
Eddie came back with the room key card and motioned for me to follow him as he made his way to the elevator. The doors dinged open, we walked in and I leaned my head back on the elevated wall, signing, Eddie glanced at me but didn't say anything. The doors dinged again, signalling that we had arrived at our floor.
"Get some rest, we'll go see your father in the evening," Eddie told me as he inserted my key card into the slot on the suite door and it clicked open, he handed it back to me.
"Thanks, Eddie," I hugged him goodbye, he smiled in return and walked over to his room, I entered my room and closed the door behind me.
It was a beautiful suite, artistically designed but I was too tired to admire its beauty at the moment, I didn't realize it on the ride because of my tension. I walked straight to the couch and plopped down on the soft surface, sighing as I closed my eyes for a minute. I almost fell asleep before I jolted awake, I can't fall asleep on the couch, as comfy as it was.
I fished my phone out of my jacket pocket and checked the notifications. There were two missed calls and a text from my best friend Theo, I must have missed them as I had put it in silent mode on the plane.
I checked the time, it was 1pm and decided to call later as I figured it would be midnight back home, a smile crept upon my lips as I thought of him, I will miss him dearly while I'm here.
Sighing, I got up and walked over to the bed, my body demanding rest with every step, thankfully I already had my lunch at the plane.
I woke up to my phone loudly screeching the Teen Wolf title track as the alarm went off, I sat up, patting around the sheets to find it. I turned it off and checked the time, it was 4pm. I had slept for three hours. Checking the notifications, I saw Eddie had sent a text telling me to meet him at the hotel's dining area at 5pm.
I groggily got off the bed and went to the bathroom mirror, my hair was a mess, every single hair sticking up in their own direction. I splashed some water on my face, rubbing the sleep away from my eyes. It took me about 20 minutes to get ready and head down.
I saw Eddie talking to my father as I made my way to the beautiful cafeteria, my lips automatically stretched into a grin, they both turned around as I reached them, their own smiles wide.
I practically tackled my dad in a hug, holding onto him for life as he chuckled, returning my hug.
"I missed you so much!" I mumbled into his shirt as he caressed my head.
"I know, darling. I missed you too."
"Why did you take this long to return from Germany? You said you'll be back in a week but you took an entire month!" I pouted breaking away from the hug.
"Come on, princess. You know how long it takes to set up a new deal, besides they are really picky when it comes to their business so it took a little bit of convincing on our part, thankfully they're not that hard when it comes to friendship."
"Besides, you know I'd rather spend my time watching you and Advik argue over cartoons." He said, very seriously making me laugh.
"Dad! We don't argue over cartoons, we've moved onto live action..." They both chuckled at that. I hugged him again, resting my head on his chest.
"I'm gonna cling to you for long as you're here." I continued, making him laugh.
"I'd love that, princess," he said patting my back.
We all sat down and had coffee and some light snacks as it wasn't dinner time yet. Chatting away happily, mostly me asking Dad about his stay at Germany and Eddie making fun of me when I got too excited and acted childish. We were having a great time.
"As entertaining as it is to see you being a baby, Choi Dong Wook is here." Eddie said watching as Mr. Choi made his way over to the elevator which was visible from our table, I stuck my tongue out at Eddie as my dad laughed.
"Well, then let's get to business, shall we?" Dad asked, straightening his tie and suit as we finished eating, we made our way to the conference room of the hotel, one we got there, I turned to see Choi Dong Wook approaching from his suite, thankfully, alone. The conference room and the suites weren't close but he had a special suite close to the conference room for himself, well it is his hotel after all.
They both bowed to show their respect and shook hands, why both? Who knows?
I went in with my dad, after bowing to Mr. Choi of course while Eddie stayed back.
They started talking business as soon as they say down, I just listened silently.
The meeting was over after about an hour, I should have skipped this and stayed with Eddie, I had nothing to do and Mr. Choi quickly ignored me wherever dad tried to include me in the conversation. As much as I hated it, I was kind of thankful for it too, I was definitely not in the mood to talk business. Much less with such an impatient man like him.
Dad and I headed back to the suites, he had already checked in before I came down from my room. I wanted to go back to bed and sleep but I also didn't want to skip my skincare routine tonight. I had packed them in a separate bag so it will be easier to sort through later but completely forgot to bring it! Thankfully I didn't forget my makeup, or it would impossible to find all my favorites again.
I told Dad and Eddie where I was going and went down to the nearest mall, walking past the street snacks carts that rekindled my craving for Banana milk suddenly so I decided to stop at a convince store first.
I was browsing the isles in peace when I had a strange feeling, like someone was watching me. I slowly looked around and there was on one in sight. I shrugged and went to isle with the banana milk and picked up few when I again felt a strong presence, this time from behind me, leaving goosebumps on my neck. I felt really uncomfortable. There were creeps everywhere in the world, you can never be too careful. I felt them coming closer, I turned around, ready to pounce on whoever that pervert was, my fist aiming a punch to their face when he somehow sidestepped and stared at me wide eyed. I stopped right in my tracks, unable to move as I stared back at his startled eyes. The same eyes I had wanted to get lost in a couple years back. There he was, Choi Young Do.
