Springtime

"It's been 4 years since we've became friends" she said after sipping on her favorite Classic Milk Tea. We're here on our favorite coffee shop in town. We're usually going here to hang out but the reasons now is kinda different from what I've said earlier.

"Yes its been a year, we've been together through ups and downs!" I said enthusiastically, contradict on what I truly feel. The anxiety is taking its place, I think in some time I'm going to have a breakdown. I need to be strong.

"You know what lets take a trip together we've been really busy in school works, you know the drastic change that i've been through because we're not in same scho--

"Cut it out" she said when I'm in the middle of my talking, it's not new to me that she interfere that's her thing but the words she just said caught my attention.

"W-hat do you mean?" my voice is on the verge of breaking down.

"What I'm trying to say is I can't do what we're doing back then" she said while her head is facing down.

"Like hanging out everyday, playing board games, doing a window shopping, and all the stuff that we're doing back then" she continued.

"It's not because I get feel bored when we do that, its because we're growing up" now her words sunk in me and now processing. I smiled. A genuine one.

"I understand what you'd trying to say" she looked at me with uneasy eyes.

"We're now growing up and we need bigger shells I guess our springtime reached its end" I look at her with the most convincing looked that i've ever do.

Indeed, our springtime ends and now we're facing our adulthood which really brings me a so much worry, but now that we tell what's in our mind, I guess our friendship is now unwavering, no one can break us apart.
