"Hello Uraraka-san! How are you today?" Iida asked, polite as ever towards his best friend.
"I'm doing good, Iida! Oh, sorry, I gotta go! Wait up, Deku!" Uraraka ran out as soon as she had walked in, leaving Iida in the common room by himself. He sighed, disappointed in the opportunity missed.
"Why, of all the people she had to like, why couldn't it have been me? I know I shouldn't think this way about a friend, but I know how I feel and Deku doesn't. So why would she want him?" Iida was ranting to himself, not realizing it was out loud.
"Uh, Iida? Is everything okay?" Iida was startled to hear a voice behind him, but eased his nerves when he saw it was just Todoroki.
"I'm fine, my apologies for worrying you dear classmate. I was just about to head to my dorm, let me know when dinner's ready," Iida walked past a now very confused Todoroki. Iida was embarrassed to have been heard by someone, but what he didn't know was that Todoroki was about to catch on to what Iida was feeling, and soon.
