"Hey (Y/N), meeting in the cortex!" Cisco said over the loud speaker.

I stopped messing around on Barry's fancy treadmill and started walking out of the speed lab, phone in hand.

As I walked past the pipeline, I checked social media, as one does.

"Hey, (Y/N)! (Y/N)!" I heard someone whisper yell. I stopped in my place, which was a little past the pipeline entrance. I looked straight up from my phone and took a few steps backwards to see who had called me.

"Nash? I— what are you doing in there?" I said furrowing my eyebrows. I put my phone in my pocket and started walking towards the cell, hands in my STAR Labs sweatpants.

"That, that doesn't matter," he said waving his hand, "just get me out of here."

"Wait, no, did someone put you in there? Was it a meta? Did the team catch them?" I questioned.

"Just... another Godspeed but he's dealt with— look," he said, looking down and putting his fingers on the bridge of his nose for a second, "the team's busy and haven't had time to get me out yet, but listen, you can. So let me out." He dramatically moved his hand to emphasize that last sentence.

The team ain't busy right now. Either you sir are lying or you're just hella insignificant to them.

"And I'm guessing they didn't tell you what was so busy?" I asked. He looked me in the eyes and I felt he was gonna say no. However, I also felt my stomach lurch. Not in the good way, like the way you feel when you're about to go on a vacation or a rollercoaster. But the feeling you get when your teacher announces there's a test, or you're about to be murdered, or someone starts looking through your phone.

"Nash, the team's in the cortex, they just called me over there. I'm pretty sure they would've let you out by now if they were ever going to."

There it was. That look. A look I'll never forget. Wells put his hands on his hips and squinted at me, a hint of anger protruding through them. I felt goosebumps appear on my skin, but stood up straight and crossed my arms to hide my discomfort.

"(Y/N), come on, it's me," Wells said. I pondered for a moment before speaking.

"Alright, then what's the code?" He looked me in the eyes again.

"What?"

"The code?" I said raising my eyebrows. "You know, the one you and I made when Barry got turned into a blood zombie? To identify each other incase any of us ever got taken over again or something?"

"I— (Y/N), come on, I lost some
memories when becoming Pariah. I'm not gonna remember some lousy friendship code."

"Nash, we prepared for this sort of thing. You said the passcode was so important to you that you'd never forget it, remember?" I challenged. He sighed, then looked spaced out for a moment.

"Right, right... now I remember. The code... is Maya." I smirked.

"See, Nash, that wasn't so hard," I said quietly. I took a few steps backwards then turned. As I was about to open the cell, I stopped. "Except," I turned my head back slowly to glance at him, "Nash and I never made a code word." It was at that moment "Nash's" face fell. Any fake lightheartedness gone and replaced with nothing but a cold, anger filled glare.

"Uh oh," I said, mocking him. I could see him clench his jaw and knew he was thinking of a million ways to kill me. My smirk doubled in size as I spoke again. "Fool me once, Thawne."

I turned and began walking out of the pipeline. My smirk turned into a look of fear and relief as I did. Dang (Y/N), when'd you get so bold? My heart stopped when I heard a chuckle from behind me.

"Clever girl."

Uh, yeah. So I hoped you liked that, because I sure liked acting that out in my room to try figuring out what the dialogue should be. P.S. I'm sorry if something seemed out of place, character, etc., I haven't watched this episode in a while so I don't remember all the details like I once did.

Anyways , thanks so much for reading!

Bye! ❤️
