"Ate Bella, I want this one!" Leslie ran towards the toy he saw. He carried it with his two hands even though it's big and heavy for him. His smile faded when he realized something.

"What's the matter?" I bent down to align our vision. I could see the sadness in his eyes.

"Mommy will just get angry once she sees this toy. She will only confiscate it." He reasoned out.

I touched his shoulder. "I will talk to your mommy about it, but right now I will buy you that toy you want."

His expression changed from sad to happy. You can see the joy on his face. This boy should be treated nicely. What did Mrs. Collins do to his son? She can not even buy Leslie a toy. From the very beginning, you can see the fear in his eyes but when I brought him here he seemed to have changed.

"Thank you, Ate Bella!" He joyfully said. He hugged the toy as if unwilling to let go. "Let us pay it, Ate Bella, so we can go back to mommy." A smile formed on my lips, I nodded my head as we went to the cashier to pay for it.

"What is that? Who bought you that?" Mrs. Collins is raising her voice at Leslie. I looked at Leslie as he hid his toy behind his back.

"I did, Mrs. Collins," I answered her, I was also afraid of the expression she was showing. I might get fired for speaking up for Leslie, well I don't care. As long as he's happy then I am happy.

"Did he tell you to buy him that?" I was surprised by her question. I immediately shook my head.

"I really bought that for him. I just want to make Leslie happy, he seems lonely." I told her and then she raised her brow at me.

"Are you questioning that I'm not a good mother?!" She raised her voice. "I may not be his biological mother but I took good care of him. I am just raising him as a good role model because I know one day, he will be the one managing this company. I even hired four professional teachers just to teach him."

"But he's just a child! He should be playing with other kids not reading books!" I can't help but yell at her. "You're taking away his life when you should be the one supporting his dreams, not yours."

"You're not the one to decide that," she said. "Who are you to tell me that? Are you his mother? No, right? You're just my secretary. Respect your superior if you do not want me to fire you. You got that?" She said in authority. I gritted my teeth as I dismissively nodded my head. "Let's go, Leslie,"

Leslie looked at me with pleading eyes. He seems to be asking for my help. I knelt down and caressed his face, I smiled at him but it turned out to be sad. If anything I could do just to help him then I would.

"Your mommy is calling you, you better go and follow what she asked you to do," I said. "But always remember that Ate Bella is always here to support you." I reached for the ribbon tied around my hair, I removed it, and as my hair fell on my back. I grabbed his left hand and wrapped the ribbon around his wrist. "Take care of that and when you are sad just try to talk to it like I am the one talking to you. Okay?" He slowly nodded his head.
