After a long day at the little homeschool and at the gem Hospital helping caring or trying to cure the corruption for good Peridot laid face-first on her couch feeling really tired after a long day of chasing around corrupted patient's there were just wanting to play a lot I'm trying to get them back into the rooms is more like watching over a dozen two children that were over joyed and filled with sugar they run all over the place even some of them got on the roof it's harder without the bigger gems like lapis and the others there but they're out looking for four more corrupted gems since there was a report of some more nearby Peridot wished she can go but after getting runned over by one of the rose quartz corrupted gem soldiers just to previous week the other gems felt like she wouldn't be able to go with them for a while this annoyed Peridot A lot since I met her felt useless but she just does a lot of work to distract that feeling and to ignore it Peridot setup on her couch and look down on the dark green old cushion of the couch then a thought came to her head she hasn't had watched Camp pining hearts in a while excitedly found her remote and turned on the show luckily new episodes had just been released ticket Nu on the show that always had made her laugh cringe and all that good stuff that she enjoys
Peridot:" oh come on Percy get a grip on yourself and stick with friendship bracelets this is like what the 20 time this happened" she said to the TV like it was a person watching the show when the show was loading she groaned and looks down again waiting for it to stop loading at that moment she looked down on her injured arm still wrapped in bandages gemstone really need bandages but sense Steven was very concerned to the point that she couldn't use his healing magic properly Connie had to patch her up until Steven gets his magic back together at the meantime the wound would heal over time if Steven doesn't get his healing back turn off felt annoyed add to this fact but garnets did say it is the best thing that she can do because if she were to go out with that injury something bad can happen it only damaged her physical form not or gem which only got filthy in the process sometimes Peridot wished that she can prove super easily so she doesn't have to sit with these uncomfortable type bandages around her arm but she only did it to make Steven feel better Peridot had thoughts back then when she used to work for Homeworld when home world was back to his old ways every injury she suffered with she always had to deal with it she had told others that she was not feeling well because her injuries would always that severe but due to her not be able to poof easily she just has to walk it off even yellow diamond herself told her to quit acting like blue diamond and just get her act together other peridots had made fun of her because of this fact so she's known to keep things to yourself because she never liked the fact that everytime time she told someone about her problem no one helped not even Blue Diamond did anything and herself had never met White Diamond Back Then ever since she came out of the ground she was taught immediately that failure is never an option she had always let someone down and never pleased yellow diamond she got startled when her episode stopped loading and continued but she stopped that train of thoughts and started to focus on the show again after the newest episodes had ended she immediately started looking up trailers of any new camp pining Hearts episodes that would be uploading anytime soon until she heard a good knock on the door she got up and checked the door it was one of the babysitters for the corrupted patients Mica the sapphire(one of my gem ocs) she stood there with a big grin on her face as usual Mica:" good afternoon peridot I'm here to inform you that tomorrow morning the rest of the Crystal Gems would return with the newest corrupted gem patient!" She did a slight jump in excitement Peridot has always enjoyed her positive energy but wasn't really much of a huge fan of her childish behavior Peridot:" that's great can't wait to see the others again" she said in the cheerful voice but was not to losing her chili yet she was wondering when everyone else was coming back so far as she know her bismuth and amethyst and last but not least Connie have been doing all the chores for them making sure the house was okay and making sure the corrupted patients were entertained and to get everything as the scientist need it so they can learn more about this corrupted disease type thing so they can find a cure for it that was Sheila to permanently because they had learned recently that corrupted gems can affect other gems still even if they've been healed but not with Fusion anymore which was the good news it was by bite with a problem it's just lucky the corrupted gems don't bite first or else the Crystal Gems would have a very huge problem after they had a few words back and forth mica returns to her job and Peridot just goes back to her couch and looks up any brand new trailers to end up surprised that there was one she was excited when she figured out the newest episodes but come out at one of her days off if nothing comes up that is either way Peridot wouldn't mind to work an extra day Peridot had always took a liking to doing extra work even though Stephen forces her to do a thing called sleep because peridots due to being like other gems slowly having their physical forms adapt to the ways of Earth has solely developed a thing called the tired and exhaustion but has not gone to the point that she would sleep yet like lapis the one thing that has annoyed her the most though was that lapis was the one who always successfully put Peridot To bed if Steven couldn't do it lapis could lapis still adores Steven which made peridots jealous even though Steven and Connie are together turtles have long ago accepted the lapis and Steven are going to be forever close friends no matter what but peridot couldn't help but still feel slightly jealous that a human gem hybrid had won the entire faction of a rare beautiful lapis lazuli the Peridot thought Again and remember that Steven was the one who said lapis free from that mirror peridot stop thinking about it it always made her upset when she thinks about it again she just happy lapis does not really focus on that anymore it has moved on and became a much happier gem then what she was when they met Peridot began to work on the files 4 Pearl because amethyst had asked that to do some of that for her since amethyst couldn't fully understand it like Peridot could which always had put a grin on peridots face no only she gets to do work while she's in her own comfort of her new home she also knows that there's one thing that she is good at that amethyst isn't Peridot may not eat as much as amethyst does nor sleeps as much as lapis nor plays that many video games like Steven and Connie but the one thing she knows she's best at is work and can understand more than Garnet in her own surprise she has always thought Garnet knows more because of her future vision and such turns out Garnet actually knows more in the emotional and future Zone not much in the present but she's working on it also Garnet does not do an insane amount of paperwork more research is all that much as some of the others do are Peridot sat down on her computer starting to work on the work that's Pearl had no time to work on Peridot thinks back at the working schedule got all the crystal gem members have and how each individual one of them now does a patrol route due to the fact that they are still on the hunt for more of those corrupted gems Stephen had gotten a lot of cookie cat walkie talkies that work is surprisingly very well that's very long distances Peridot was never proud of her working schedule because out of everyone else she had the most free time but she's starting to get used to it at least she can do some side jobs and do stuff for the others but she always had free time so she spends that time either watching Camp pining hearts for playing the very few video games she had  or checks around little homeschool to see if anyone needs help when she was done with work she play games for hours until dawn was when she checked the time and realize that she only had an hour until she how to get back to little home school and start setting up her classes she got herself cleaned up and went to her Greenhouse classroom and starting setting things up until she heard heavy footsteps outside she tries to ignore it because her doors open she flinched and turned around to face the door the only find Jasper in the doorway Peridot:"Jasper! I thought you were away with everyone else!?" She said Jasper only gave her a slight emotionless but still a nasty look Jasper:" the others are on their way they're just having their struggle with the newbe they just sent me back to check on everything  I just decide to see how the TWRP is doing" Peridot cringe at the nickname but that's just how Jasper is even though she's nicer she still needs to work on calling people by name and not by whatever she sees them as and Steven being hurt diamond amethyst mute and more Peridot:" well I would like you to inform the others that everything is doing just fine and there's nothing to worry about no one shattered no one poofed no one had gotten bitten okay?!" Peridot still act Stern around Jasper even though lapis have forgave her and everyone else is having a hard time finding out how to forgive her she watered the fly trap plants as she heard jasper say something under her breath and just left 4 hours later when Peridot was making sure everything What's going smoothly before Starting her classes The other Crystal Gems have returned With the newest corrupted gem Everyone had greeted them and welcome them backAfter another long day Peridot decided to spend the night at the temple they had yet again upgraded it so every crystal gem member had their own room  as everyone else is doing their own thing lapis and peridot where the only ones in the kitchen living room area Lapis:"so peridot how is that arm?"Peridot:"It's doing fine I just can't wait until Steven actually Gets his magic back together Or this natural healing actually speeds up Because these bandages are itchy" She groaned making lapis laugh Peridot felt really good inside when lapis did that It always made Peridot happy when lapis was laughing Peridot didn't want lapis to feel Sad anymore She did everything she could back at the barn To make Lapis happy and feel comfortable But since she had learned a lot more how to do that properly She has been doing it without lapis noticing All that much They began talking A few days later The gems had gotten another report of a corrupted Gem At the Abandon Ship area That was more further down into the beach on the other side of the forest The quickest way was through the forest Peridots arm has fully healed So they allowed her to go What's Peridot couldn't shake the feeling that something bad is about to happen
