Lapis POV

No one has heard from peridot in two days now and I'm starting to worry even more so I decided to pay a visit to Peridot's apartment I knocked on the door to hear no reply I realized the door was locked I looked through the keyhole to realize something was very wrong I couldn't see much but something was seriously wrong like the room was more of a mess now and Peridot doesn't normally leave in such a mess there's only a certain mess that she makes and this looks more like amethyst is room type of mess the couch has been moved around a bit normally when you walk in there's a hallway leading to one room and there's a tiny that's the bathroom and when you walk in the hallway leads into the first room the door was incredibly locked and there was more lights coming into the room I am usually called everyone over telling them something's wrong with peridot they all came Steven question what's wrong and I told them that I was checking up on Peridot because I had not heard anything from her in a while and knowing her she would be up at this hour even if she was sick I just checked through the peephole and it doesn't look right in there Garnet walked up to the door and took a peek at the people after removing her glasses then she put her glasses on saying that I was right before kicking the door open which was one good kick we all went in and saw the disaster the apartment was the couch had scratches on it the TV have been moved slightly everything's disorganised pizza boxes were left almost everywhere sandwich bags that had fries in it and they were full of them to and there were empty ketchup and Ranch bottles and the wall that had a small window was completely broken through by something big there were even this the black slime thing that made decent sized holes into the floor garnet tried using her Future Vision to see where Peridot is right now but only to find out that she couldn't see peridots future it was a glitchy and blacking out that she couldn't get a single detail of it nor what was going on which only had fed my worry even more we went on a man hunt for peridot she was not even at her most favorite spots around Beach City not at little homeschool we even checked on Homeworld the diamonds haven't even heard a peep from peridot in a very long time they didn't know she was not feeling well we even looked around in her room at the temple she was not hiding under the bed or anything I went back to the apartment feeling upset but then I heard a beeping sound and I looked to realize her camera it was left on record it's one of those cameras that can go on for days without needing to charge and it's beeping because it's nearly dead I realize it was recording for the past few days because it was like an number of hours long I immediately to get back to my home and let it charge for at least 30 minutes since I was impatient about what it's have recorded it begins off with Peridot setting up the camera and plugging it in and explaining herself that she was going to take a few photos of the plants she grows and some other plants that are around the Galaxy so she can teach her class a bit more about the plants that are not on Earth that she can't bring on Earth but then an alarm went off in her apartment and she left hours later she had returned then I recognized those bandages on her leg it was that day that we got that corrupted sun stone that prefers to be called the sunny then amethyst and her had a good time and then she took a nap she woke up that morning groaning and she looked sick but she still got ready for the day then she quietly complained that her head was hurting and she took medicine for it and left then a few days later I've noticed changes in her eyes as them getting brighter and somewhat glowing when the lights are off in the pupil going thinner and the eye turning black and then when she went in the bathroom a minute later I heard crying and groaning noises then after that I faintly heard her say something on the lines of oh no then she left to the bathroom and she looked more corrupted she had more hair a 2-inch tail she has a tiny bit of a snout going on patches and her eyes were full on like that black yellow and thin pupils and they were glowing since it was night time then that day she called in sick which it's starting to make sense she technically was sick just not in the way we all thought I was only questioning how did this happen she didn't get bitten and hours later she had formed an appetite innate the leftover pizzas that amethyst brought over and the next day I called in she had made the room darker before answering it was dark enough that not even the camera can pick up completely what was happening and had to go into nighttime mode that's at least with Peridot calls it it's actually just night vision she actually slept a lot more on the call after she hung up she brighten up the room again so the camera stopped going to night vision and was normal and an hour later she brought in the food I left outside the door for her because I thought she was asleep and I didn't want to disturb her and she went through all the fries that day and catch up in a little bit of ranch the pizza left her only 3 days in one day when she was eating her legs without her noticing had changed again she tried standing up but fell back down and then realized that her back legs changed so she was stuck on walking on all fours and that night she looked really upset again even her eyes were hidden then she had a meltdown and changed incredibly fast the hoodie she was wearing just for fun and comfort was now shredded on the floor she was so big that she was almost Garnet's height she was long as well and fit she freaked out and made the room more of a mess then broke through the wall and window escaping then two days later I came in and it was empty until it was dying and it got to the part where I found it and picked it up and turned it off and took it with me how is the end of the entire video I just couldn't believe it She mentioned before having that meltdown that in the morning she was going to tell someone before it gets any worse to the point that she end up having a broken mind she looked so scared and confused when she broke free of the apartment the next day I brought the video to the temple early that morning when everyone else was there after we watch the video I explained that when she freaked out she must have accidentally hit the charger off the wall causing the camera to begin to lose battery in the limit of its lasting was only 2 days and a half We Begin our search that night we had no success that night we continued searching and searching and searching but nothing had came up patrols were intended and I took up peridots Patrol route as well as mine I tried thinking positive but I couldn't help it I was thinking of this corrupted gem the Peridot has become Hurts Cold and scared and alone out there somewhere and that actually triggered me thinking back on everything and make me question have I ever thought of how she felt before that question repeated in my head then I start back at the barn times she seemed so happy but that's normally when I was around what would she be like when I'm not around was she truly happy then I remember the time when she told me how she felt when we heard the diamonds were coming I just flat-out left her out of fear of Another War I left her and pumpkin and when I came back even after everything was settled and things were calmer we never really sat down to talk about it and I thought back at the point of the recording when she began to have her meltdown what was going through her mind at that moment that made her so upset dealing with a handful of corrupted gems myself and according to Peridot when Jasper became a corrupted gem negative thoughts and emotions speed up the transformation process and Peridot never seem to had anything wrong with her she loved teaching her class she never had horrible students and we would usually have fun creating stuff together and coming up with new ideas she seemed to be so well off and seemed so happy and calm most of the time she was called but when she's not calm her excitement it's over the roof I've never really seen her really mad before even when she was interrogating me she never seemed to mad but emotionless back then then I remember what yellow diamond was like she was emotionless and very mean and somewhat abusive neglecting her workers only to tell them what to do to leave them alone for a long period Of time and always a shadow at them when they ask her something or suggest their own ideas but she was not all that it's only some of what she was she's way better now but then I thought back to all those corrupted gems not only a lot of them a crystal gem members but some of them alone we're not a part of the Crystal Gems but in fact we're apart of yellow diamonds Court and their report is that even when they're free to they have trouble expressing how they feel and after getting bitten or corrupted they had no Fighting Chance against it because everything they cannot let out in fear of punishment or someone not helping or lending ear to at least listen had bottled in them so much due to the years of working for yellow diamond they keep it to themselves and try to figure it out on their own the corrupted gems that were parked on the blue diamonds Court just said they're just so used to letting their emotions out that it helps them when they're getting corrupted that actually alerted us sooner about the transformation I knew I had to go to yellow diamond for answers about her treatment towards peridot maybe that's what give me a clue of how she really is feeling or if there's really anything wrong with her because of yellow diamond that could have triggered that meltdown filled with so much negative energy that quickens our transformation from being a half still beneath my height creature with a voice into that monster corrupted thing after my patrol I snuck to the galaxy warp pad and went to Homeworld and paid a visit to yellow diamond yellow diamond was happy to see me it was actually surprised I would visit her I asked her a few questions about Peridot time working for her and yellow diamond just told me that she is not very proud of what she has done when it came to era two gems unlike are ones that are actually form and perfect era two gems have sort of their own mind of Their Own and would not be afraid to express that and unlike Blue Diamond who had made sure that they are allowed to express that side of themselves sometimes only when is it appropriate to yellow diamond Wanted full control over her gems like she had full control of era one gems so she made them afraid a multiple things as in Failure expressing themselves and more when she first got Peridot Peridot was a stubborn one she actually had her own opinions and was not afraid to express them let alone her emotions it was not until yellow diamond had did something that she isn't proud of it all and rather forget about in to Peridot her that made the perfect but yet still a failure of a Peridot the emotionless kept herself Peridot that I met yellow diamond had a disagreement with peridot who was the only one of her gem kind that was not afraid of yellow diamond back then she got Pearl and few soldiers to do whatever they want to Peridot and to leave here in a room alone for days and the next time she saw her she had remains of bruises and scars and after that Peridot had always obeyed and was always afraid to fail and every time someone suggested that she goes back to that dark room she has something similar to a panic attack yellow diamond did not know what yellow Pearl had made the soldiers due to her but it had to be something completely awful and every time yellow diamond tried asking Pearl what she had done yellow pearl only responds with a big grin that she only just broke that Spirit within her which immediately made me demanded head to know where yellow Pearl was yellow diamond told me where she was I said my goodbyes and went to after that sly all about herself Pearl after a few chattering back and forth she finally told me what she had done to peridot which made me keep a question how is peridot even okay and after what's y pearl has done Peridot happy came a gem that follows the crowd and not some Outkast and back then she was all proud of herself and didn't feel guilty of it because she had prevented another Rebellion War but of course the Crystal Gems had we awoke in the spirit in her how do I set with yellow Pearl thought because she joined the Rebellion it seems pretty happy I thanked her for the information even though I was holding back and urge to shatter her to bits I returns to earth and continued my search for peridot but the one thing that caught me off guard is that when they were talking about peridot like she was a different gem after a while I started doing my patrol on foot until I stepped into something right behind the apartment building I looked down and lifted up my shoe to realize that that was a hole with a bit of black slime stuff that was all over Peridot dorm and I saw footprints of a four-legged creature I Look to where led and it led into the forest
