Afrah's POV

"I never touched Ismail." Mr Wesley raises his voice, rapidly losing his composure as well.

"Why? Because you thought he was your child, right?" Ms Aminah asks challengingly.

Wait, what!! Ismail, my brother, is Mr Wesley's child? How's that possible? Was my mother with him before she met my father?

"You can think whatever you want. We can continue this conversation once she's gone. Let my daughter go, please." Ms Aminah lowers her voice back to normal.

"So you're sacrificing yourself for your daughter? What a great mother you have become, Amelia." He smirks.

"I converted and I changed my name to Aminah. I would appreciate it if you stopped calling me Amelia."

Converted?! Ms Aminah is a converted Muslim? Does that mean she only became Muslim when she met my dad? Everything is so confusing right now. I'm sure she didn't want me to find it out this way but Mr Wesley isn't giving her much choice.

"Amelia suits you better," Mr Wesley smirks before gesturing to some of his guards and two of them come to me.

"What... What are you doing?! Don't touch me!" I yell to the guards as two of them hold me up taking me with them.

"I will be there soon Afrah, don't worry." Ms Aminah says assuringly.

"What are you going to do with my mum? Please don't hurt her, please." I ask Mr Wesley and his smirk only grows while the guards open the huge door which Ms Aminah came from and I realise the door leads to outside. We are back in the forest. "What am I supposed to do here?" I ask the guards when they make their way back in. They close the door, leaving me all alone out there.

I suppose I'm meant to find my own way back and walk for God-knows how long, up to where I came from. It took us a drive away of two hours. Do they really expect me to walk my way back? These people are unbelievable. Either way, I'm not planning on leaving without Ms Aminah. I can't leave her alone after being the reason for her coming, but what can I do? I don't have my phone and nobody knows where I am.

I should ask for help. - I think to myself before starting to walk in the forest to try and get back to the road and hopefully find a car passing by. But if it was that easy, they wouldn't have left me on my own. What are they planning to do to me?

I hear a noise behind me in the bushes and I immediately turn back to find Carol right behind me.
Is she going to take me back?

"Where are we going?" I ask her when she steps ahead of me.

"Where are you going, you mean." She corrects in an amused tone and I follow her.

"You're taking me back?"

"What good would that do to me? According to you, I will be caught, either way, right?" She looks at me challengingly, reminding me of what I told her before.

"Then where are you taking me?"

"A car is waiting for you at the end of the forest." She grabs my arm and pulls me with her since I wouldn't walk.

"I'm finding my own way back, thank you very much." I pull my arm away from her grip.

"Your attitude is starting to get on my nerves, do you know that?" She fires in a threatening tone.

"At least it only takes me a few seconds to understand people's true intentions, meanwhile you're an idiot who doesn't even spot what's right in front of her." I fire back.

"What do you know about me? You don't know anything about me." She raises her voice and I give her a fake smile.

"I know Mr Wesley is using you to take revenge on my mother. Did you really think he loved you?" I say mockingly.
