My heart was pounding as I tore across the streets like a deer running from its hunter. But I was no deer and what I was running from was no hunter. I felt faster than a bullet fired from the mechanism after which I was named. I hated the feeling of breaking as I was but I simply couldn't take it. The streets were dark and it was yet nowhere near late at night. However, do not mistake when I say dark for empty for the streets of Inverness were certainly not empty. I whipped out my only expensive possession from the pocket of my green long-coat and tapped into something named "Instagram".

Looking back, it may have been stupid and it may have been dumb but something urged me to do it. I was faced with two options at this point. I could text a friend who I've known my whole life, or I could contact a complete stranger at the other side of the world who probably couldn't care less. You can guess by now which one I chose.

Beginning a Direct Message, I sat on the corner of the street, shaking as I typed the message to who I thought would probably never reply.

"Dear Kristin,
Hello... My name is Trigger Anna Harper and I am fourteen. I live in Inverness, Scotland and I have two siblings, my mother and my father. I'm in a bit of a panic and I feel stupid for sending you this at this time but honestly, all my leads are finished and I'm beginning to believe this is the end. I have nowhere to go now... And all I need is reassurance that this isn't the end for me. At least, not yet. And you see, Kristin, all I've done this year is scream into my pillow when things have gone wrong and now they've gone so terribly wrong that I can't do anything more than I have. I've run away. Run away from the home panic, run away from everything. Even a simple read of this would perhaps make it a tad better for me. You're the only person I can think of now that may care. You're my inspiration you know?

Yours Sincerely,
Trigger Anna Harper"

And with that, my world came to a blackout.
