Martev Hal-Cala was known as the 923rd Ranger Corps' Punk Older Brother among the Clones. When not in combat he would often be found talking with his Padawan, Ficia, or lying around his room reading. Regardless of when he was in combat or waiting for something to do, he was seen acting and sounding as if he had something better to do with his time. Martev was often in a sour mood after Master Evid was killed, normally because he believed that he was surrounded by no one but idiots including Travis. He wasn't doing anything else, he was often seen honing his skills in combat so that he may attempt to take control of the 923rd Ranger Corps from Travis, however he had yet to try it. Though he did want to take control of the 923rd, he was disgusted by their habits of thinking of everyone within it as a family member. During the Battle of Umbara Martev was seen begrudgingly leading a platoon of Clone Troopers into an Umbaran Resistance Fighter's weapons cache underground.
