I let out a dramatic sigh as I entered the Wayne Enterprise building. It was 8 am on a Monday morning and I was in a crappy mood. Unfortunately, I did not  get the restful weekend I had hoped for. I walked over to the secretary to check-in.

"Good morning Ms y/l/n." the secretary chirped.

"Morning Mrs. John." I replied whilst signing in. I was just about to walk away but she stopped me.

"Hang on now, don't run away just yet." Mrs. John said as she retrieved a big cardboard box that was filled to the brim with paperwork.

"Your manager couldn't come in today, so while she's out she wants you to get all of this paperwork done by the end of the day." She said placing the large box right in front of me.

I groaned, feeling the frustration rumble from my throat. It was just the beginning of the day and I was already dreading the long night ahead of me. I knew already I'd have to stay late.
I grabbed the box and made my way to the elevator. The box was heavy and tall so it blocked most of my vision and was a struggle to carry. I blindly made my way to the elevator when suddenly I bumped into someone. The box instantly leaned forward causing most of the papers to fall out. I was just about to apologize when.

"Why don't you watch where you are going?" the person growled.
I was on the floor picking up the papers that fell not looking at them.

"Well gee, any smart person would clear the way if they saw someone with a big box in their hand don't ya think?" I shot right back, annoyed.

"Excuse me?!" the other person said,  sounding highly offended. He was obviously male, with a deep voice that held a rich gruff, accentuated by his authoritative tone.

I finally got up and looked at his face.

"What don't speak English no-"

I abruptly stopped when I realized who I was talking to. A wave of embarrassment in the form of a blush washes over me.  It was Damian freaking Wayne the soon to be CEO of Wayne enterprise, the big boss, well technically his father is the boss but he was still pretty important.

"Mr. Wayne! I am so sorry... I...I didn't know it was you, I swear I didn't mean to say that to you " I quickly began to apologize.

All he did was scoff and make his way to the elevator, leaving me there with a derpy look on my face. I felt extremely embarrassed and my body felt so hot and flushed. Unlike his father, Bruce Wayne, who was kind and generous, Damian was cold-hearted and ruthless. He could have easily fired me on the spot if he wanted to. It may have not sit well with HR, but he could still do what he pleased regardless. I hopped on an elevator, wishing he wasn't going to my department. I have been working at Wayne enterprise in the accounting department for about two years  now and not once have  I ever seen or come in contact with Bruce Wayne or his children. I was actually hoping I did get to meet one of them but not this way.  I walked into the accounting side of the office with a scowl on my face.

"Hey y/n, wanna hear my theory on why Anna and Elsa aren't sisters

"Hey y/n, wanna hear my theory on why Anna and Elsa aren't sisters.....wooow what happened to you?" Matt, one of my co-workers and closest friends said as he looked at me.

"Why the long face?" Lea, one of my other co-worker friends asked.

"Oh nothing, nothing." I give them a wry smile, swallowing down my discomposure.

"It's just that Mrs. White is making me do all this paperwork," I say but that was only half of the truth.

"I am officially convinced she hates you," Lea says, turning back to her work.

Matt then leaned in next to me.

"Hey did you know  Mr. Wayne's son is coming in today? Maybe if we're lucky he'll come to our department" Matt geeks at the youngest Wayne boy.
I forced a smile. Boy, I sure do hope not.

I placed the pen down and put the last of the paperwork in to the box and rubbed my red and burning eyes. I gazed over at the clock and it was 9:30 pm. I didn't really care how late it was. I was just glad that I was done. The office was empty, everyone went home hours ago. Even the cleanup crew came in and left. Content with the work I'd accomplished, I left the building and made my way towards the train station. As I was walking I saw a lady at the side of the road with her car hood up and a trail of smoke coming from it. The lady looked distraught as she looked into the engine of the car with a flashlight. Curiosity got the best of me, and I went over to her.

"Hey, is everything okay?" I asked.

The lady turned around to face me.

"Ha, I wish! My car just broke down and my phone's dead. I have no idea what to do." She walked over to me. "You happen to know anything about engines?"

"Sorry I don't but you can use my phone if you'd like."

I know it was a bad idea to just give a random person my phone, especially seeing that this is Gotham but my conscience was screaming. She looked like she really needed help. As I waited for her to finish her phone call, a car was heading our way. Its headlights were so bright, I had to shield my eyes with my hand. The car then stopped in front of us. My stomach churned and spun like a laundromat machine with instinctual anxiety. Out came two men, both smartly dressed in work attire with white lab coats worn over the top. They also donned had black ski masks, that completely obscured their identities. I immediately began to back away but the lady I was helping earlier, grabbed me, pinning both arms to my side. I tried to squeeze out of her grip but Jesus, she was strong. As the two men came closer and closer towards us I screamed and kicked begging for anyone to help me. One of the men pulled out a syringe filled with an orange liquid. without any warning, he stabbed it into my arm. Soon my kicking and squirming felt useless and  I felt so weak. It was as if my muscles were no longer under my own command, and the very fibers were gelatinizing. My eyes involuntarily began to shut close and soon I was met with darkness.
