Tuesday and Wednesday flew by in a blur. It was now Thursday evening and I was sitting in my car in the school's parking lot waiting to say goodbye to the girls. A few minutes later the girls walked out of the school and came over to my car. "Heeeey bestie poo", Sindy yelled cheerily. She's completely better now, the flu is gone so she isn't grumpy anymore.
"Hi bestie poo", Emeralda mocked her loud cheery voice. "I do not sound like that", Sindy argued.
"Yes you do"
"No I don't"
"Yes you do"
"No I don't"
"Yes you do"
"No I don't"
"No you don't"
"Yes I do"
"Aha, got yah", Emeralda said with a victorious grin plastered on her face.
Sindy groaned as she realised what she had just said.
I laughed at their childish banter.
"I'm going for tutoring lessons today", I said to them.
"I hear he's cute", Sindy said in a dreamy voice.
"Uh_huh, but he always wears that damn hoodie at school, you can barely get a good glimpse of his face", Emeralda pouted
"So.....Rose, on a scale of 1 to 10, how cute is he?", Sindy says wiggling her eyebrows.
I busted out in a fit of laughter. "D_d_do not wiggle your eyebrows like that, you look like a crazy person", I choked out in between laughter.
She huffed and glared at me then a wide grin spread across her face.
"Stop trying to change the topic Roselyn", Emeralda scolded.
"Guys, I have only been to one tutoring session and I didn't spend it observing the dude's face, I'm here trying to get my Physics grade to improve, whether he is cute or not will not benefit me", I stated in a matter of factly tone.
"Are you sure about that?", They both asked at the same time ,wiggling their eyebrows like they're on crack. I busted out in a fit of laughter. They smiled at me.
"Bye girls, I love you both", I said to them.
"We love you too", they said as they blew kisses my way, I caught them and placed them on my cheeks while batting my eyelashes wildly. They laughed at my antics. I drove out of the school's parking lot and made my way to Ashton's house. A few minutes later I was knocking at the door. The jeep was not in the parking lot like the last time so I assumed that Elise was at work.
The door opened but it wasn't Ashton who opened the door. I looked down to see Asha. "Hey Ash", I said to her.
"Hey Rose, I missed you", She said hugging my legs. I hoisted her up on my hips and kissed her chubby cheeks. "I missed you too Ash", I said to her. As I closed the door I saw Ashton rushing down the stairs. "Asha I've told you times and times again not to open the door without calling me", he said sternly. I flinched at his tone and she hid her face in my neck and said "But it was Rose".
Ashton sighed and took Asha from my hands. He walked to the sitting room and plopped down on the couch with Asha on his laps. Tears were streaming down her face. "Asha, I'm sorry for shouting at you, but it could have been a robber or anybody else so whenever mom isn't here and someone is at the door please come and call me and we will open the door together.", he said to her in a very gentle tone. "I'm sowwy Ashy", she said in her adorable baby voice. He hugged her and said "are you gonna behave while Roselyn and I study?", he asked her. "Yes Ashy", she said. I smiled at her and thought 'such a cutie'.
Sindy's question resurfaced to the front of my mind and I stood there observing him as he interacted with his little sister. He had dark brown hair and blue eyes just like Elise. He was well built, you could tell that he worked out often and he was about 6 ft. 4 inches tall. Asha on the other hand had really black hair and light brown eyes, that I assumed she inherited from her father.
