~ AN~

I feel this song fits here, but we been knew

~END~

I take a long slow drag from the cigarette that's in perfect position between my fingers, I thought that I would have issues and start coughing up a lung or something, but in hindsight I've had second hand practice.

Therefore it's not particularly unusual when I hold the smoke for a minute before slowly blowing it back into the air with no interference whatsoever besides the racing thoughts inside my head.

What if I become an addict to this stuff just like my parents, like my Mother. 'Oh please no' I pray silently 'please don't let that happen, because honestly, I know I screwed up big time, but still, please'.

Worrying about that for a minute takes my mind off of the fact that we're on a disgusting  building at least thirty feet up, but not for long after I realize my hand is in a piece of gum.

"Oh crab! Oh crab, crab, crab!" I don't notice that I'm muttering aloud, loud enough for Charlie to hear. I'm currently aware that I am freaking out  and being incredibly irrational at the moment and would rather her not see me so I plaster on a little smile. She clearly doesn't buy it as within a second later she places her hand on the shoulder opposite her and spins me around to face her. She isn't saying anything, just looking me in the eyes; I'm trying to look away from her's out of the sheer embarrassment. It feels like years pass before she speaks up.

"Look at me"

"Do you have any hand sanitizer?" I sputter out before instantly regretting it.

Great now she things I'm a freak! I just lost her, and all over some stupid comment about STUPID GERMS. I feel like I need to scream but I sit there in silence letting the thoughts run amok in my head.

I'm shaken out of my little panic induced trance as she shakes her head. A sudden serious urge to leap off of this building and shut off my brain creeps into my thought process, but I quickly shove it aside and try to buck up and ignore the crawling I feel under my skin, like I can feel the germs squirming through my bloodstream.

I don't even notice I keep shuttering until she grabs my face to look at my face closer.

"What's going on" she says it calmly, completely contrasting my demeanor.

" I have um, germ issues"

"Germ issues? What are you thinking?" she said it not in a rude way, but in a respectably concerned one, a responsible one, if you will.

"My heads just all race-y and funny and my chest feels weird, It's normal" I say cheerily.

She see's through me right away, and suddenly I'm completely untangled from the strangling tendrils of my thoughts and placed firmly on the ground of an extraterrestrial plain I have never known as she brings my face closer and passionately grabs my lips with her. I kiss back and she slips the hand that was on my shoulder down so it's resting on my back and pulling me closer until I'm resting safely in her lap.

We're still crashing our lips together and my hands drift to her hair, instinctively weaving through it and bundling it up between my increasingly heated fingers . Her hands slip under the back of my sweater and I shudder at the cold of them, even though my body is becoming steadily warmer. I smile into the kiss without realizing and she pulls back, are hands staying in their respective positions until I throw my hands daintily over my lips and start to giggle. I just kissed a girl, bloody heck that was awesome! She giggles at my giggles and next thing I know I'm wrapping my arms up and around her shoulder's and settling into her neck.

The world slowly fades out, albeit slowly, and I'm drifting into a dreamless sleep without realizing it's happening.

I wake up to the smell of grass and the soft light of the sunlight beaming onto my cold cheeks, but I'm not on the roof anymore. In fact, I don't know where I am.

I look around and realize Charlie has used black duct tape to put my feet firmly on the pegs of her bike and I'm leaning against her back with my hands tied, literally, in front of her chest. It's a little bit of a compromising position  and I feel my cheeks light up at the amount of feelings I'm getting. Which is quite a lot.

We're on a open one lane road, with a canopy of trees unfolding on both sides and no car in sight. It's rather pretty. Aesthetic I dare say. I love it... these are the kinds of memories you remember.

I tilt my chin up into the mop of very light brown hair and assume she feels the contact because she turn her head a little to look at me and smiles. Wow, she has a pretty smile, nice and straight and white, and her teeth are perfectly shaped to they're not to square but not to rounded eith-

The bike skids to a stop in front of a small CVS and she hops off. I notice that she unties my feet rather quickly but she pauses for a minute before she releases my hands.

I want to ask what we're doing but think better of it. I'd rather savor the peaceful dream-like mood that encompassed the last twenty-four hours. She turns to walk in the store and smiles back at me for a moment before proceeding to disappear across the parking lot.

I wait for a few minutes before becoming steadily more worried that the police have somehow found her within the past three minutes and taken her away to beat her to a pulp behind a dumpster somewhere,  but sure enough, she shows up with a small plastic bag in her hand. When she pulls out a pint of Ben and Jerry's and hands it to me I bring my hands over my mouth in a squeal.

"Breakfast" She smiles as she whips out a black plastic spoon.

"This is so cool! Oh my gosh I love you!"

Did I just say that.
