"Ugh..." I woke up with a throbbing headache.
I felt my head with my hand and it was burning. A lady in a white coat knelt over me. I saw Gwen in the background.
"I found her lying there on the floor!" She points dramatically, at me, "Poor thing, I wonder how she got such a bad nosebleed!"
Gwen flipped her hair and readjusted her top, she glossed her plenty bright lips, and dread took over my body. I already knew what- who was coming.
A boy, Cliff came running over to me. His brown hair and blue eyes looked lovely, I suddenly felt self-conscious and I tried to fix my hair. I laughed and thought, really stupid? You have a goddamn bandage on your nose and theres blood on your face, yet you're worried about your hair?!
"Christina?! Are you okay?" He bent over me and looked into my eyes, his smile melted me.
"Uhhh..." I said, smartly.
"Do you remember me? Cliff? Cliff Larson, your bio partner?" He asked and waved his hand back and forth, "Christina, Christina are you listening to me?" He then mock pouted.
"Y-you know my name?!" I asked astounded.
Suddenly the excitement overtook me but my head began to pound, I felt the heat spreading and when my eyes closed I was seeing spots.
"Argh... Man that hurts!" I blurt out.
I dont know if I was hallucinating or daydreaming but what Cliff did next stunned me. He places his hand on my head, then he brought his chin up to my forehead.
"Oh my god, your forehead is really warm!"
I sat there and continued being awkward. Than I said the stupidest thing I've ever said in my entire life.
"Are you saying I'm hot?!" I tried to stop the words from exiting my lips but I couldn't.
"Hahaha! Well I didnt mean it like that but, yeah, you're cute, even with blood dripping down your face." He half-yelled.
I started to blush profusely and I started to try to rub the blood off of my face, but every good moment has an end.
Gwen walks up to us in her wedges, her ankles commuting mutiny and turning in on one another, causing her to trip as she walked.
"Hi Cliffy-Wiffy!!" She batted her eyes annoyingly and twirled her straight black hair on one finger, "Isn't it terrible what happened to poor Sissy-Chrissy?"
She laughs and my cheeks turn an even deeper red.
"Gwen, thats really rude, cant you see that shes hurt already? If I found the person who did this I would-" Cliff cuts himself off.
"Fine. Christina," She pronounced my name loudly and clearly so Cliff could hear her, "Didn't you hurt yourself? I saw you bending over to get water and a volleyball hit you, smacking your nose into the metal, isn't that right?!"
She looked at me menacingly as if to tell me not to say anything, sadly I obliged.
"Yeah, t-thats what h-happened." I said, the shame of the lie hung over my head.
Gwen smirked and stood up straighter and knelt down to whisper in my ear.
"I swear, if you ever tell anyone what happened today, I will make you pay, simple as that," She stood up and beamed at Cliff, "See you later Cliffy-Wiffy!!"
She blew a kiss and skipped away, failing miserably because of her wedges, I snorted and so did Cliff.
"I'M ALRIGHT!!!" She lied, limping off towards the other side of the gym, still trying to cover it.
"What was that all about? What did she whisper to you?" Chiff asked, eagerly.
"Nothing," I said, noticing he didn't believe me, "really!!"
"Okay..." He said uncertain of whether to trust me or not.
The nurse that was there earlier shooed Cliff out of the way.
"Are you her family member? Brother, cousin, friend?" The nurse asked Cliff.
"I'm not related, we're friends, right Christina?" He looked at me with his blue eyes.
"Really?" I asked happilly, I noticed the nurses expression, "Yeah, we're friends."
"Well than, this girl is in critical conditions, I would appreciate it if you left sir." The nurse said to Cliff.
"Do I have too? I really want to-" He started.
"-Please leave," She stared him down, then she added, "Quickly, before I have to call security on you!"
"Okay! Okay! I will go! Bye Christi-" He tried to finish his sentance.
The nurse lady got her walkie-talkie out and said, "Secuity, there is a code red in the the gym, I repeat a code red in-"
Cliff quickly waved and he ran upstairs.
