"Christina!! Oh Sissy Chrissy?! Where are you hiding, you little scum!" Rang the voice of the overly obnoxious Gwen Brookes.
I was hiding in the girls locker-room, sitting on the toilet seat with the door locked and my knees tucked to my chest. The toilet seat was sticking to the bottoms of my jeans, probably covered in slime from previous visitors.
I was breathing heavily, for I had been running not to long ago.
"Sissy- oops, I mean Chrissy? Come out, come out wherever you are!" She yelled again.
I heard a loud bang. She was opening the stalls.
"Chriss come out! I wouldn't let her hurt you!" One of the other cheerleaders whispered, her name was Clio, Clio Richmann.
"Shut up Rich-girl!" Gwen retorted, aimed at Clio.
Clio and Gwen were the cheerleading team captains, the 'lower class' at my school called them good cop and bad cop. They always had each others backs, but Gwen was the more popular one. Clio was the "average" rich girl, except her daddy was a billionaire. She was the back-support for Gwen and their admirers.
BANG!!!
I heard the stall right next to me being slammed open. I curled even closer and had an idea. I crawled underneath the ruddy bathroom stall. The walls were covered in grime and graffiti markings of inappropriate things written in lipstick or blood, that's one thing no one seemed to know.
I slid myself under the bathroom wall and that connected to the stall next door and hoped that I didn't catch a disease from the toilet water that tends to overflow and gush out randomly.
BANG!!!
The stall I was previously in was opened, the lock busted by Brane Hoffmann. I could tell he was the one opening it by the animal-like grunting noises I heard escaping his big mouth. His name sounds like Brain but he has none, otherwise known as as "Rich Brain." He and Clio are a thing, so of course she spoils him. He was a jock, the jockey-est jock you could imagine, tall, ruggedly handsome, he had no brain, giant muscles and no emotions.
I stood up on the seat of the toilet ready to jump them if they opened the stall door. I closed my eyes and silently waited, counting in my head, my breathing starting to get heavy.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5...
The room got quiet so I assumed gym class was over. I sat down on the seat and prayed, being an Athiest that was something I had never done before, well I guess desperate times call for desperate measures.
"Please, god, I've never asked you for anything, just please let me end my senior year not as the annoying girl who sits in the shadows and fantasizes about the life I could never have. I wish that that life could be real, more than anything else." I prayed.
I stood there listening to my awkward self and waited until I believed 10 minutes went by.
The door slammed outside of the locker room, I stood up and gulped, my face was sweaty and I clutched my palms, my nails dug into the open flesh of my hand. I slowly creaked the door open and peeked out to see if they left.
"Phew." I sigh.
I wipe the sweat off of my forehead and stare into the mirror. I studied my dark brown hair and my blue and green eyes, one eye was a different color than the other, I know ugly right. My face covered with freckles, in my opinion ugly, in my mothers, adorable. I tucked my hair behind my ear and went back to daydreaming.
I have had a crush on this boy in my grade, his name is Cliff, Cliff Larson, he's the most popular boy, best-friends with Brane, but alas there is always a downside to good things.
Gwen had her eye on him. That's why she picks on me, she caught me doodleing "Christina Larson," over and over again and drawing little hearts around the words. It's not fair! She was pretty, tall, lean, beautiful, with the grace of a ballerina, whereas I, myself am none of those things. He was cool, nice, and always made me laugh, even though he probably didn't know my name. I can imagine him now, tall, brunette, with blue eyes, and a laughing smile. He is my partner in biology but I doubt he cares to know my name.
I tied my hair up in a pathetic ponytail and wished that I could be as pretty as Gwen or Clio. Gwen was perfect, she had sleek black hair, dancing green eyes and perfect lips, no flaws like freckles or anything. Her parents allowed her to pierce her ears wherever she liked or get a tattoo, they didn't care, same with my parents, they obsessed over my younger siblings and my older brother, I was just there in the middle of nowhere. Nonexistent as per usual.
Clio on the other hand, was blonde and had perfect light blue eyes. She was nice though.
I walked out of the locker-room and straightened my tank-top and pulled my jeans up. I sighed and went over to the water fountain to get a drink. I bent over and held my hair up so it didn't drag and land in the little water stream. I gulped the water down thirstily, trying to replenish my energy.
As I start to lift my head, it gets shoved right back in the fountain, my nose hits the metal and I feel the bone break.
"Really Chrissy? You didnt think we would let you get away that easily, did you?" Rang the voice of the devil herself, Gwen, "I cant believe that you would think that doing what you did was okay! Well, just a little friendly warning, DONT-YOU-EVER -EVEN-THINK-ABOUT-IT-AGAIN-HE-IS-MINE!"
Tears run down my cheeks and I feel hot blood trickling from my nose and over my lips. I open my eyes and turn to face the three of them.
"Y-you cant t-tell me what to do!" I said feebley, my voice cutting out.
I raised my hand to my nose. I wiped it and looked at my hand, covered in dark, pulsing, blood.
I felt my vision depleting and the room started to spin.
"B-b-bloo-" I fainted.
