Who would have expected, a night sleeping on the most comfortable mattress can relieve the pain of years sleeping on a hard mattress? If not because of Chang Kyun opening the room curtain, she must be still on the bed sleeping like a baby. Still, she covered her face with the blanket to block the sunlight blinding her visions. Again, he pulled the cover harshly making her groaned annoyingly before sitting up straight looking at him half-awake.
"Chang Bin has prepared the breakfast an hour ago, you know?" he raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, whatever. Can I get my blanket back? I want to sleep for another 5 minutes," she tried to bargain. He only sighed and shook his head, rejecting her. "Come on! You don't know how comfortable this bed is!"
"Eat your breakfast then get your blanket," he repeated.
"Why are you still here, anyway? You don't have class today?" she closed her eyes, pouting. Hoping he forgot about his today class and leave her alone to have her beauty sleep.
"No. Now get your breakfast," he insisted. She clicked her tongue and hopped off her bed. Chang Kyun always be her second mother if she has a sleepover at his house. Quiet but strict. Every typical mother.
He smirked after seeing she obeyed him. Throwing her blanket over her bed then followed her quietly. It was a peaceful morning as Min Ho and Jae Hyun already finished their breakfast and went to their classes. Only Seung Min and Chang Bin visible on the dining table, chatting with each other. For Johnny, he's leisurely seating on the couch while watching some morning drama. She was rather surprised to find Chang Bin could make a breakfast for six people although her mind still flying around since Chang Kyun forcedly wake her up.
"Good morning, sleepy head!" Johnny ruffled her hair and sat beside her, head resting on his hand looking at her amused. Was her half-asleep face really that funny? Because Seung Min and Chang Bin can't stop laughing and took photos all over.
"Shut up," she blurted out, finally able to land back safely to reality. "I haven't sleep on a comfy bed for years."
"Glad you didn't go home?" Chang Bin asked after putting his phone down.
"Thank you for that," she dived for her breakfast, munching it once it got into her mouth. Chang Kyun was back from the kitchen after making some morning coffee for him and her before seating on her other side. She quickly thanked him before sipping the coffee.
The morning was rather normal, them chatting about anything and everything. From their background to the recent news they heard on TVs. Maybe it was a good decision for her not to go home since she can know them more personally. Having one of these casual talks with others is a first time for her. Laughing and listening to other's story really boosted up her social needs. Not once she was forced to talk about her painful past. Including what happened with her stepsister.
Just like in those dramas, stepsisters aren't all kind and acceptable. For example, hers. She tried to overthrow her just because she got more attention from her own father. Bullying has been a daily activity she got to experience. Hearing the harsh words until physically abused. At first she tried to refrain, but eventually she exploded when she got wrongly accused. Just like Min Ho said, like a ticking bomb. She did something awful to her until she didn't dare to go home.
Unlike others who like to play with physic, she played with other's emotions and minds. Once she knew their greatest fear, she can easily play with their mind. That's what happened with her stepsister. Apparently, she developed trauma due to her words. In-and-out of the psychiatrist already became her daily schedule. Maybe because she didn't even improve a slightest bit, they recommended her to go overseas hoping for her to calm herself down. Their parents didn't even know what's happening between them since they're rarely home.
"I should go home," she got up from her chair, bringing her used plate to the kitchen to wash it off. The others also cleaning up the dining table since they did a little food war because of Johnny's lousy joke. After finishing her dishes, she went straight to her room, practically cleaning up anything just like before she crashed up the place.
.
"You know? Your beauty really makes my heart go wild," Min Ho pulled the same trick, magically showing the ace of hearts to her from his empty hand. She was giggling and a blushing mess after witnessing his flirty tricks. What a smooth move. Very smooth, Min Ho. It was the signal where Seung Min and her came bumping at them, trying to take their invitation card for the annual game. The plan was going on smoothly as they didn't expect anything because of the tipsiness they got from the drinks. The woman purse fell and spilling everything inside, including the invitation card.
"I'm so sorry," Seung Min crouched to help the woman gathered up her things while on the same time swiftly took her invitation card. For the three guys that went together with her, seemed like their tipsiness making them to take out everything in their suit on the table. Thanks for Johnny's quick-witted trait, he put something sticky underneath their glass. Making Jae Hyun and Chang Kyun easily took the card without anyone noticing. Anyone could see it was a huge success. To smooth for her. Again, she felt something was wrong, like they let them take their invitation cards on purpose. But maybe she just being paranoid.
Anyway, Seung Min and her quickly left the bar to their meeting place behind the building after their job finished, waiting for the others. Changing their dress and suit into a more casual one, looking more like a campus student went home late due to over studying. Only a minute or so, they finally reunited with the other and immediately went straight to Chang Bin's residence.
Although the boys kept chattering or more precisely bragging out, she kept silent. The boys only thought she must be tired from pulling up a flawless act yet the truth, her mind bundled up with something she can't even solve. Chang Kyun didn't let it go though, he perfectly knew something was up on her mind. Just like how she usually has her own overthinking session, ignoring everyone and everything around her.
"Something's wrong?" he slowly approached her, leaving the conversation. She only nodded in respond despite voicing out her voice.
"Don't you feel something strange? About today," she asked while looking directly into his eyes, waiting for his answers.
"Why? It's working perfectly well for me," he shrugged, crossing his arm in front of his chest.
"That's the problem. It worked too perfect," she sighed and looked towards the others who still laughing, probably celebrating their first successful plan. "Or I'm just being too paranoid."
"I think you just overthink yourself," he stated and put his hand on her shoulder. "Let's join the others. Today really worth to celebrate." She smiled faintly before joining the others. The others were talking about the next plan while sometimes they also talked other than the plan. She just looked at the invitation that she took from the woman.
"Hanna," she muttered silently, flipping the card. She remembered how the woman looked like when Seung Min was 'helping' on gathering her things on the floor. Silk tight dress, brown hair, expensive jewelry, and a small Romanian number tattoo on her collarbone. Although she covered herself with those silk expensive dress, Y/N could perfectly see that she's around her age. Possibly a year or two years older than her. Even if she only spared a glance on her, she was perfectly fine, no tipsiness found on her. Could be it was all a trap? Or even worst, she planned it all.
