The moment I heard the name 'Tanya Ahuja' my breathing stopped. in-case you're wondering what's going on.......I'm getting married. That too with Tanya f*cking Ahuja. I mean what the hell were my parents thinking. Tanya is drop dead gorgeous and could marry anyone on this planet and here my parents had decided to marry me off to her. Plus I don't want to get married. At 23 I want to enjoy my freedom and not get tied down, I want to be single for a while and have some experience in this world. Don't get me wrong. I would be lying if I say that I'm not a playboy, but never in a million years did I imagine getting married. And certainly not an arranged marriage. And what was Tanya's motive behind getting married to me. Did she just want more money from me? I immediately discarded that thought as she seemed to have plenty of her own, afterall she was in the list of Forbes youngest billionaires. But then again, so was I.
"Why?" I ask my parents.
"Son, we have been asking you to get married for a while now. And your grand father wants you to get married to a girl of his choice. Tanya's grand father was a very close friend of Papa. Plus it will be good for you. She comes from a good family and we won't have to worry about her adjusting to our society. She is also very beautiful and is quite successful herself. She is perfect for you" says my father. I silently agree to all his points and just nod my head. I'm pretty sure that Tanya is the ideal wife for any body and is most certainly the star of my erotic dreams. The thought of any other man touching her, kissing her or heck even marrying her makes me jealous. I sigh and nod to my parents. I was ready to get married to Tanya and would try to make this marriage work.
"Great! You'll get married to her in 3 weeks" exclaims my mother. Woah! 3 weeks? Is'nt that too soon.I would at least like to get to know her before our marriage. I speak out my thoughts.
"It was her grand father's wish that she get married before his 10th death anniversary which is after 4 weeks. And 3 weeks is enough to get to know each other" my father says dismissively . Of course he does. Him and my mother never really fell in love. But I just agree to whatever he says. I would never say this out loud but the thought of making Tanya my wife excites me.
