When we woke up we got dressed hayley into a raven colored shirt and some ripped jeans with her black and white checkered vans and me in a camouflage (a/n i might use camo as a short for camouflage just a fyi) long sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled up to my elbows and some black ripped skinny jeans with my black vans and we walk down to the ravens club house luckily for us were first here i mean it is like 5am "hayley hayley" i say nudging her she's staring at her louie with her mouth wide open she just shows me the louie on it is sofia and alex being weird i just look at it complete shock just then leo walks in hayley quickly closes her leo and puts it in her pocket before he can see and we hide behind the bar it's dark enough in her so you cant see us "hello hello is somebody there hayley,oliva is that you" me and hayley stand up "hey leo" we say in usion casually "what are you guys doing up you were up at like midnight last night and somehow your up at 5 am how??" he says clearly confused at how we can get only a few hours of sleep. We just shrug and he sighs and claps his hands "well everybody is getting breakfast if you want to grab some with us down at the cafe". "Oh yeah of course totally"

So we are all now in the ravens club house "hey can we borrow a toothbrush" me and hayley ask a girl "oh yeah of course the office has some supplies but you'll need more than that" she says while handing us a toothbrush each "thanks but we didn't know we'd be staying"

Were all sitting down near each other while leo is talking

"The opening challenge is the first challenge between the 2 houses nobody wants to lose the opening challenge"

"Because winning is the only option" i say

"Exactly the eagles beat us last year the legacy of our house is at stake when we lose i feel sick and when i feel sick im not nice you want me to be nice don't you?" leo says continuing his rant pep talk thingy while me and hayley are sitting on the couch with the other ravens near us im reading a boom and hayleys just tuning in and out all the other ravens shout yes captain at his question including us then they all start to get up chanting "lets go ravens" on and on we get up to luckily we got our headphones so i just throw them in my pocket same with hayley while we are all walking down the hall me and haley spot alex and sofia we stop to talk with them hayley hits alex in the chest "hey what was that for" sofi and alex say we both look at them and then say "that was for ignoring us and being dumb have you all seen sofies blog" just then daniel and his girlfrien brooke walk by us giving us a disgusted look "go dont want to be seen talking with the enemy" me and hayley both say and they walk off we both sigh and walk back to our team who is walking down the stairs they stopped chanting

Were all in the classroom ravens and eagles louis then starts on a speech thingy "welcome to the opening challenge" then everybody erupts with cheers and louis then counties when we quiet down "as you all know this is not a regular school and our goal here is not to prepare you for the regular state standard exams other than a 2 week vacation at the end of the year for you to prepare for that unimportant test.." we all lightly chuckle "-.. We won't be dealing with that at all. My only job is to feed your curiosity, now the ravens and eagles have been rivals for decades, and this year is no different, so today I'm sending you a riddle. You have to solve that riddle to find the key to unlock this case" louis says the last line pointing at a glass box with a lock on it "to be the first team to ring the gong and win.," parker then speaks up "so what's the prize?" daniel joins in "yeah i wanna know what the ravens are missing out on this year" and all the eagles chuckle along me and the rest of the ravens just stare at them while parker and daniel high five i speak up and so does hayley at the same time "really?" leo then decides to respond "its okay let them talk" hayley looks at me like what i just shrug louis then speaks up "i'll just say the winning house will get a treat to kick off a very sweet year,the riddle is being sent to your louie's now" we all pen oru louies and huddle ravens have a huddle and eagles have a huddle the riddle says "ten from the sea to the sand he walks,to look in the soil, but not in the box!" where all trying to figure it out when leo says "that must mean ten steps from the ocean to the sand" we all get away from oru huddles chanting our teams names me and hayley just look at each like what the hell did we get ourselves into when we get to the beach all the teams are looking thro the sand while me and hayley are just chilling on the rocks "well don't work too hard" leo then decides to joke while i respond "we're waiting for the real classes to start"
