I woke up to alex trying not to move as much and i rolled over and knocked over hayley who knocked over sofia we bursted into laughter it was super early like 4 am so nobody was up yet we grabbed all our things and booked it down the ladder and throw the crawl space and then group hugged me and hayley ran back to our dorm and got dressed of course i had to bring out my combat boots so i throw on black high waisted jeans a black shirt with a simple raven colored jacket hayley got dressed into some black jean shorts a ravens colored top and some vans we then ran down to the cafe to get breakfast when we were done we all walked down to class outside
Our teacher susan started to speak "a leader has to make decisions all day long,the higher his or her position the more critical there decisions are.ceos judges military officials senators" leo then buts in "captions" and we all chuckle
Susan continued "today well be examining what a leader should do when he or she has to make life or death decisions. If you think that's complicated your right. Over here you can see a car crossing the rails" she says pointing to the diagram in front of us "now here's the situation. This train has malfunctioned. It cannot stop" she says point to the train on the tracks of the diagram in front of us "its gonna crash into the car and kill everyone who sits in it you can use the crane over here and redirected the tracks elsewhere but then the train will crash into this wall killing 20 passegners on board so that's your decision" we all try to come up with a game plan
"Using the crane will be murder" haylye speaks up
"I agree there's no moral justification for using the crane" max says
"Are you crazy you'd rather kill 20 people" becca says emma agress and brings something up about star trek
"Leo what do you think" suzanne ask
"I say flip a coin" he answers
"Wow thats a mature decision" hayley responds
"I think it's a unfair dilemma nay choice would be problem maict andy chose would be immortal and any choice would kill people" leo responds respond
"Well that's what makes this decision so interesting i mean you have to choose between two evils" suzanne says
"Yeah who gave you the right to choose who will live and who will die" hayley jabs back at leo
"No it's not about having a right we are forced into a moral decision" max says we all agree
Suzanne then answers "guys hold on a second there's one more thing i need you to take into consideration something i haven't told you yet"
Suszanne then puts pictures up "hey that's my dad" a raven says
Suszanne then goes and says "let's say the people in the car are your familys on the way to the greenhouse to visit you, now what do you do?" she asks
"Id save my family without evening thinking twice" emma states
"Do you all agree with emma?" suzanne asks there is a lot of yeahs
"So as leaders you're saying you'll base your decisions on how closely related you are to the others?" she asks "so you'd rather save your own brother but sacrifice someone else's brother is that what you're saying?" suzanne asks "let me make this even harder. Among the 20 people on the train sits a young professor who is about to find a cure for cancer, killing him would delay his research for years." suzanne states
"We can't know that the scientist will succeed in curing cancer its and intangible possibility " max speaks up
"Even so this man should not die end of story" another raven says (i forgot her name)
"But my mother should" emma speaks up
"I don't know your mother but--" the raven says
"My mother is just a waitress, but she sacrificed everything just so i could get into the greenhouse doesnt her hard work also make her a valuable member of society that is worthy to be saved" emma says cutting off the raven
I zoned out a bit then snapped back in when i hear hayley speak i realize i zoned out a bit
"There isn't a compromise you have to make a decision, stop trying to avoid the situation " hayley says to leo
"I'm not avoiding anything" leo says
"I thought you were a captain right?" hayley says i'm getting sick and tired of the bickering with them but she goes on "you have to make a choice and someone will always get hurt that's the way it is so make your decision caption" i just sigh
"Is she still talking about the train" i ask jackie who is next to me who just shrugged "if i was a leader and i had to make a choice i wouldn't compromise" hayley says
"Haley's dad was a fbi agent and i know he would sacrifice himself for the greater good because that was his job he would get everybody out of the car" i say moving every person out of the toy car we have in the scene demo thingy i then push the train move button which hits the car and
"There's always another choice" i say looking at haley and leo before walking away
I run into alex and sofia "hey guys slow down"
"You know we can't stay mad at you" they speak
"I know you can't but i'll say it again i'm sorry" i say
"Wow" we say looking at the rock thingy auntie woods help with apparently it's a creator made from a metor
"It's been forever since we've been here" i say
a/n alright sorry to leave y'all there sorry for a shortish chapter im trying my best rn i might stop posting for a few i hurt my arm badly and my foot so i may be out of writing for a few but i had to give ya something so there it is anyways ily bye
