Kirishima has became close to Bakugou, which astonished most of his peers and on lookers from the public.
It makes sense to be surprised considering the blonde has quite the reputation. He's known as loud, rude, disrespectful, and even villainous.
Which made Kirishima's blood boil. The Bakugou he knew was loud, and maybe rude, but Bakugou was determined. He wanted to be a hero, and Bakugou was gonna make it happen.
Bakugou was brave. Bakugou was bold and manly. Kirishima looked up to Bakugou. Not like Midoriya did, Kirishima saw Bakugou more like an equal. Like a friend.
He was able to befriend the blonde. And they were pretty close. Of course, Bakugou would never go to Kirishima for stuff. It was more Kirishima kinda forced Bakugou to be his friend and Bakugou was too focused on being a hero to even push Kirishima back. Then Bakugou noticed, but it was too late.
Kirishima knows they're not as close as him and Midoriya. Even if Bakugou didn't want to admit it or even think about it, but they are childhood friends. Brothers, even.
Come to think about it, Kirishima's never seen Bakugou cry. Midoriya has. Bakugou is almost never open with Kirishima. He is with Midoriya.
And that's why Kirishima is standing in front of a specific green haired boy's door.
He wanted to get closer to Bakugou. But first, he had to get through Midoriya, who holds and knows Bakugou.
If Bakugou didn't have Midoriya, Kirishima would be extremely terrified for his friend's mental health. Keeping all those feelings in...for so long...he couldn't imagine.
Kirishima is super thankful for Midoriya. For his ability to break Bakugou. For sitting him for success by being one of the reasons why Bakugou tries so hard to become a hero.
"To beat stupid, quirkless Deku." As Bakugou would say.
Kirishima still doesn't know why he calls Midoriya "quirkless." He's obviously not quirkless.
No one just glows green and makes things explode with a punch or a flick of a finger.
Kirishima should ask him about that, too.
Knocking on the door, Kirishima huffs.
"Be a man. No backing down. It's not like Midoriya is gonna yell at you or something. He's not that type of guy."
Why was he so nervous? It's not like they're dating or something. And if they were, Kirishima's rooting for them.
The red head heard shuffling from inside the room, before a deeper, but still high pitched "Hold on!"
The door opened, revealing the shorter green teen, smiling brightly once he saw Kirishima.
"Oh. Kirishima. Hey. Is it dinner time already?" Midoriya looked back at his alarm clock.
Kirishima chuckled. "Ah no...I actually came here to talk...to you.." Midoriya could feel his heart drop to his knees.
"Oh. Ok. Didja want to come inside or.."
Kirishima flashed a smile. "Sure! I like All Might as well. He's pretty manly."
Midoriya laughed, nodding. "Very much so. You can sit wherever." Kirishima chose the blue rolly chair Midoriya usually used to sit on. Midoriya sat on his bed.
"So...um-"
"What's Bakugou to you?"
Midoriya's beautiful eyes flickered towards Kirishima. "I-I beg your pardon?"
