6: When You Celebrate His Birthday

A/n Happy birthday Tomoe 🦊 haha I don't know if this will get up before or after his birthday. Definitely After.

Just as a reminder If you don't know or forgot his birthday is August 19. 🎉🎂🎉

Mikage and I have all ready secretly made plans for Tomoe's birthday.

Mom was going to make the cake - of course.

She has always known his favorite flavors.

Mikage and I plan on decorating the house in balloons and streamers.

Kurama is in charge of making sure he doesn't come home tell we are done. Normally I would be the one to keep him out of the house, but this year I decided I wanted to help put the party together.

Mizuki is helping me put the streamers up around the living room and dining room.

"Here (Y/n)" Mizuki say's handing me a purple roll of streamers.

"Thank you."

I roll out as much streamer as I'll need, then cut it. I placed the left over steamer on the top of the ladder I was standing on.

I rolled some tape on the streamers and stuck it to the wall. I did this until all the purple and dark blue streamers where up around the living room and the dinning room.

I slowly and carefully got off of the ladder.

I wander how mom's doing with the cake?

I left the dinning room and when to the kitchen.

Once I walked in I saw mom working on the frosting. She had flower all over her hands and on her apron. Her hair was thrown up in a messy bun.

She had closed the shop today as she claimed it was a personal holiday. She always did that on mine or Tomoe's birthday. It was really sweet of her.

"Hey hun I'm almost done with the cake." Mom said seeing me standing in the kitchen door way.

I walk over to her. "It looks really good, I can't wait to eat it haha."

She laughed at my words.

"Me too" she said with eager eyes.

I watched her place the last bit of frosting on it with her pipping tube.

All the rest of the house had been set up before had.

I was so excited for him to get here. I wanted to see if he would like my gift.

That's when I felt my phone vibrate. I pulled it out of my pocket and clicked on the notification it was from Kurama.

He said he was going to be here in 5 minutes.

Mikage wanted us to do the cliche thing and hide and jump up and say "happy birthday~"

No one could say no to the gentle man with round glasses, especially when he was excited. He would ball his hands into little fists and have a determined look on his face. It was truly adorable.
