October 4, 2020
The neon lights littered around the city fair, lighting up the pitch black night sky and the usually dark concrete ground. The elevated stage crowded with people waiting in anticipation to watch the band that they have never even heard of. To many new bands, a large crowd of hundreds of people would be beautiful, exciting even. Not to Devil's Kin. Not to (y/n). Her entire life she has been dealing with stage fright, she has always dealt with a large case of social anxiety. As she looks through the crowd while walking to the stage, two very familiar, and very famous, faces catch her attention. She quickly takes a picture of the two despite her phone camera being absolute shit and the picture turning out blurry making the two unrecognizable. She wasn't sure if perhaps she simply noticed their doppelgangers. She swiftly sends the picture to her friend, Vee.
Devil's Kin gets onstage and while the rest of the band begins performing, (y/n) freezes for what feels like forever for her. Once she regains her senses, she begins playing and blocks everything that is not music out of her mind. (Y/n) focuses only on her playing, unaware of anything going on around her. The moment she has finished the music, she escapes the stage without a second to waste allowing her band the opportunity to speak to the crowd.
While (y/n) is making any attempt to calm herself down, Vince Neil of Mötley Crüe approaches her. He makes a few attempts to flirt all of which she politely rejects. Unbeknownst to her, a bassist and drummer that Vince is all too familiar with is headed onstage as she spoke with the blonde haired singer. She pauses when she realizes that at least three out of the four men that make up her favorite band, Mötley Crüe, watched her perform. To make it worse, her face turns crimson in a blush when she hears Nikki Sixx talking.
"The band that just played up here tonight could very well be the next Mötley. Hopefully better decisions but still as much fun. Can we hear it for Devil's Kin!?" He shouts and the crowd grows loud, it was almost as if the crowd had watched each of their favorite bands perform just infront of them.
The crowd grows even louder but the loudness had begun to overwhelm (y/n) so she takes a step outside through the back and the cool night air making her just a bit cold and her (h/c) (hair/color) was moving in the wind slightly. (Y/n) stands in the night enjoying the nothingness infront of her, the only living being around her are the crickets that chirp through the night every night. There weren't any bright neon lights ruining the peaceful darkness, there weren't any roller-coasters with horny teenagers trying to get some, there was nothing but herself, the stage, the crickets, and the gate preventing animals from entering the fair. This was the most peaceful moment of her life and she wished it could last for an eternity.
