Too Late to Change Pt.1

"Today's the day to tell him." Emma thought to herself. She found Killian talking and eating with Henry in Granny's Diner.

"Killian, I need to speak to you for a moment."

Killian and Emma walked to the back of the diner and Emma said, "Alright, don't be alarmed when I tell you this, but-"

Killian immediately thought about how he wasn't being truthful to Emma, and how he is expected to die soon, as a result of Mr. Gold taking his heart.

Killian interrupted her and said, "Look, Emma I have something I need to tell you too."

Emma quickly said "I'm pregnant."

Killian was astonished. He stared at her and gave a little smirk. He suddenly grabbed her by her head and kissed her.

"How long have you been pregnant?"

"About a few weeks. Sorry I didn't tell you before. I thought it was just too early. And I thought that, with the snow queen around and all..."

"It's alright." Killian said as he grabbed her hand. "We are going to raise this baby together.

There was a small pause.

"I love you, Emma." He said.

"I love you too."

Killian's POV: Killian thought about the upcoming baby and how he knew he couldn't be a father because he was going to die soon. He felt guilty that he couldn't tell Emma the truth. Killian wished he could experience more with Emma. Go on more dates, tell about each others' stories etc. He knew the last time he got to feel Emma's lips and touch her beautiful blonde hair was today. Killian was very depressed. He didn't want to say goodbye to Emma so soon. He didn't want her heart to be broken again. Emma would have to raise a baby on her own for the second time. He didn't want the child to grow up fatherless just like Henry.

Later that day:

"It's a girl!" Dr. Whale exclaimed. "Congratulations."

Emma was so happy that she started to tear up. She couldn't wait to tell Killian the wonderful news.

Henry burst into the room. "So what is it?! I hope it's a girl!"

"That's right kid! You're going to have a baby sister!" Emma was mild at peace. She felt like she had everything.

"Hey, where's Killian?" Henry asked.

"Thought he was with you?" Emma replied looking confused.

"He told me he was going with you to the hospital." Henry said.

Emma began to worry.

"He's been acting strange lately. He doesn't seem like himself." Henry said. "Maybe we should go find him."
