Your POV

I was running around the track, taking in every single breath as much as possible. There are two problems however with my asthma and Jorgen Von Strangle being the head couch. "KEEP GOING YOU PATHETIC HUMAN! DON'T MAKE ME COME AFTER YOU!" I gave a small yelp as I continued to run as much as I could. The one thing keeping me running was Anti-Cosmo, the British Anti-Fairy who everyone was afraid of due to being an Anti-Fairy. He was reading at the bleachers while everyone was taking up track and field after school. I blushed as I kept looking at him, but my lungs were screaming for me to stop and take a break. Jorgen stopped his watch as he saw me pass him. "ALRIGHT! YOU CAN STOP NOW! Your time was 2 minutes!"

I watched him leave and I quickly headed for my backpack for my inhaler. I always tried to be secretive about my condition so I can run on track without Jorgen knowing or else he kicked me off the team. I took a few puffs until my breathing was back to normal. I heard a poof behind me as I quickly put my inhaler away. "I say, (Y/N), you did much better this time than the other people on this pathetic track," Anti-Cosmo said in his British accent. I blushed as I gathered my things. "Although, are you quite alright? I understand that Jorgen can be hard on some people, but you seem very winded."

"Yea-yeah I'm alright. It's just a bit warmer today than yesterday." Anti-Cosmo nodded as we headed to the gate "Well as long as you are alright. I nodded as I saw my ride pull up. "I'll see you tomorrow, Anti-Cosmo! I hope you have a good night!" "Likewise, (Y/N)! Cheerio!" I smiled as he poofed away from the school. "I have to be sure my asthma is under control tomorrow. I don't want to let Jorgen or Anti-Cosmo know what I have. Jorgen will kick me off the team and Anti-Cosmo won't want to talk to a feeble human."

Tomorrow
I got my track uniform on as I got myself ready for the 4x500m race. I was the last one to go after the person gives me their baton. I looked at the monitor to see Anti-Cosmo sitting at the bleachers. My heart was racing already, but Jorgen came behind me. "Good luck out there (Y/N). Be warned about not looking back at the other competitors!" I nodded as I headed out to the field and waited for my turn. Our school kept getting in front of the other schools and I was ready for the long race. My teammate gave me the baton and I was running as fast as I could.

I can hear the crowd cheering for me as I kept on running very fast. My lungs were aching for air as I kept on running. I didn't want to think about it as much as I saw Anti-Cosmo cheering me on and Jorgen was watching me very intensely. I was almost there, but I began wheezing harshly as I was trying to go as fast as I could. Mucus was starting to fill in my lungs as I tried to keep going and not looking behind. "Almost there! You can do it!" I said in my head as I turned left around a corner. My lungs were aching and I was about to pass out, but I kept going until I stopped dead past the finish line.

The crowd was going nuts for me as we won the entire race. Jorgen ran beside me as he was happy just for winning. I suddenly let out a painful cough as I tried to catch my breath. "WHAT'S GOING ON (Y/N)?!" I couldn't talk as I tried to breathe slowly, but my breathing was going rapidly hard. Everyone was crowding around me as I tried to calm myself down, but I began to panic as I couldn't breathe. Anti-Cosmo poofed beside me as everyone began to back away from us. "(Y/N) what's wrong? Are you feeling alright?" The crowd began to shout at him to keep away from me.

"What the hell?" "An Anti-Fairy talking to a human?" "Someone get him away from her!" "He's going to harm her!" Anti-Cosmo didn't pay any attention to them as he shouted to Jorgen, "SHE'S HAVING AN ASTHMA ATTACK! GET ME HER INHALER!" Jorgen was shocked about this, but the look on Anti-Cosmo's face told him to get it quickly. "Bac- *breathe* pack", I said slowly. Jorgen came back with my inhaler in his hands and Anti-Cosmo quickly grabbed it and put it in my mouth. 1...2...3." PUFF. I took an inhale as Anti-Cosmo repeated the process until I was breathing properly. The crowd was quieting down as Anti-Cosmo finished with me as I held onto him.

"Come on everyone! Let's give her some room to breathe!", Jorgen said as gently as he could. The crowd cheered as Anti-Cosmo got me and him to a safe place from the people inside the main building. Once we got inside, Jorgen poofed himself beside us. "So (Y/N) you have asthma?" I nodded sadly as I looked away from Anti-Cosmo and Jorgen in shame. "Why didn't you tell me?" "I was ashamed to admit it and I didn't want to be kicked off the team. I love running and I didn't want my asthma to stop me from doing that." My eyes wielded with tears and Anti-Cosmo sat in front of me, trying to comfort me.

"And you, Anti-Cosmo, knew she had asthma?!" Anti-Cosmo shook his head as he looked up at Jorgen. "Of course not, but I do know her symptoms for having an asthma attack. It wouldn't kill you to look at a medical book every once in a while." Jorgen put his fingers on the bridge of his nose as he tried to calm himself down from lashing out at an Anti-Fairy. "I won't kick you off the team. I will, however, make sure you have your inhaler on you at all times, like your pocket. I will be keeping an eye on you though, Anti-Cosmo."

Jorgen walked away as Anti-Cosmo rolled his eyes at his comment. "The nerve of some people in this school." I blushed as I place my hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry for what the people were saying about you." Anti-Cosmo shrugged as he got up from the floor and sat down beside me. "It doesn't bother me as much as it did when I first came to this school. People can be harsh, but I know that I am a good person. I took notice of you having an asthma attack and knew what to do. To be perfectly honest, that was the scariest thing in my life."

I was shocked to hear this as he is an Anti-Fairy and they are known to not be afraid of anything. "You were scared about me having an asthma attack? I thought Anti-Fairies weren't scared of anything." Anti-Cosmo cleaned his glasses and smiled at me. "Oh pish posh, my dear (Y/N), we may be known as scary beings, but there are always things that may scare people. Even those who are tough like Jorgen. That was scary for me as nobody knew what to do and a lot of pressure was on me if I didn't know what to do. Not only that, but there isn't really a close hospital nearby and we didn't know you had an inhaler until you mentioned it was in your backpack."

I smiled as I hugged him close. "I'm sorry about what happened though. I hope this doesn't change anything." Anti-Cosmo held me close as he comforted me. "Change what exactly? You have asthma and I am an Anti-Fairy. That doesn't change a thing for us." We pulled away for a bit as we stared at each others eyes. I went in for the kiss as I took Anti-Cosmo by surprise at first before he put his arms around my waist. We pulled back as Anti-Cosmo chuckled at me. "Now, now, we don't want another asthma attack from you." I giggled as we got up from the bench and headed to the exit, hand in hand.

Next Day
I continued to run as much as I could while Jorgen was keeping a close eye on me. "57 seconds! A new record! It's not just because you have your inhaler on you right?" I smiled as I took out my inhaler to show Jorgen I had it before putting it back in my pocket. "I don't think that's the reason." I looked at the bleachers as Anti-Cosmo looked at me with his green eyes winking at me before reading his book.

Authors Note: Sorry for the long delay on this book. I do suffer with asthma and allergic bronchitis so this was inspired by my condition on wanting to go hard, but my asthma is something that is harder for me if I want to exercise. So anyway I hope you all enjoy this chapter! ❤️
