Today went really slow.

Wanna know why?

Detention.

Yes. I got detention today after school.

And it sucked.

Let me tell you what happened.

So it was Monday of this week and Christmas break just ended. I had gym that day but at the time, I didn't know if we switched to health or not. So I didn't bring my gym clothes to school.

It was time to go to gym so I went to the health room.

(Thinking that we had health)

And when I walked into the classroom, no one was there. So I thought,
"It's okay. I have an A in this class, so one day of not dressing out won't hurt too much."

MY MISTAKE!

So I then proceeded to go into the locker rooms and into the gym room to tell my teacher, Miss.F, that I wasn't dressing out.

(Mind you that while this conversation was going on, the whole gym class AND another one was listening)

Me: Miss.F, I'm not dressing out today because I forgot that we had gym and accidentally went to the health room.

Miss.F: What do you MEAN you didn't know we had gym?! You could have asked someone before this class started! Is it the end of the semester Olivia?!

Me: No..

Miss F: Then WHY would you forget that we had gym?! We don't switch out until the end of exams!

Me: Uhh.. Sorry I didn't know..

Miss F: You just earned yourself a detention!

Me: What if I do my exercises with my regular clothes? Will I get full credit?

Miss F: Hmmm.. I suppose. But you have to do ALL of the exercises to get credit.

Me: Okay Miss.F.. Thanks

The first thing we had to do was stretches.

So I did stretches.

The second thing we had to do was run around the gym and do 10 laps.

So I ran 10 laps around the gym.

The third thing we had to do was volleyball.

I didn't exactly do that..

Miss F: What was that?!

Me: Umm what?

Miss.F: You were supposed to RUN 10 laps.

Me: I did..

Miss.F: NO YOU DIDNT! YOU ARE GETTING THAT DETENTION AND IN NO WAY ARE YOU GETTING ANY CREDIT FOR THAT CRAP THAT YOU JUST DID! GO SIT DOWN.

I didn't say anything. I just sat down without a word.

But then she called me over.

Miss F: Sign this.
(It was a detention referral)
Me: Miss.F, I'm not signing this.

Miss F: Yes you are. Now sign it.

Me: Legally, I'm a minor and can't sign anything unless a parent/guardian is present AND gives me permission to do so (:

Miss.F: That won't make any difference. It's my choice if you have detention.

Long story short, she wrote on the part where I have to sign, "refused to sign." And I ended up going to detention today.

And it sucked.

It was boring and I only knew one girl in there but we don't really talk.

On top of that, I had to stand outside for 20 minutes in 12 degree weather, waiting for my mom to pick me up.

So that's how my detention became.

I hate gym.

Ugh.
