For the past two days, Téa was buried in all kinds of ancient scripts and texts. Atem was nonstop with her, usually translating as it turned out having an ancient pharaoh nearby to be quite useful. Almost immediately, Téa wrote everything word for word as Teana had told her but nothing matched. None of the sources they found spoke of anything like that. Currently, Téa was getting distressed so she took some maps in a desperate attempt to find the city. They had spent many hours in the library looking for a clue, any kind of clue.
"I don't know Atem, Teana didn't know much about this place. Probably it was a riddle, some kind of prophecy Teana couldn't decipher." Téa sighed rising from her sitting position.
"Don't lose hope, we'll find it." Atem also left what he was looking at to reassure his girlfriend kissing her temple.
"A pearl on the Nile. A place of wonder and riches. It hides a great knowledge and within hides the greatest one of all." Téa recited it once again. "It must be a city on the Nile, but the river is huge, a lot has changed since ancient times, it might not even be in Egypt's modern-day territory anymore." Téa had a point; the political map had changed a lot during the centuries.
"I agree, let's use this as a guide – a pearl on the Nile." Téa lifted her head from her boyfriend's chest and brought the computer closer to her.
Before Téa could search for it though, her eyes landed on a dot in the map. Leaving everything aside, Téa brought the map closer. What if... a strange feeling told her Téa was on the right track. Atem observed her silently, knowing Téa was on the right track by the look in her eyes. Atem had fallen in love with her passion and determination. These were only two of the many qualities Atem admired and loved about Téa. Abandoning her previous idea, Téa took the computer and typed a name, the same one she was looking at seconds ago. Atem read the name, his curiosity picked. What Téa was searching for was Alexandria. Suddenly, it all made sense to Atem. The ancient city of Alexandria was famous for its riches and the Great Library which unfortunately was lost to the modern world.
"You think it might be Alexandria?" Atem inquired.
"I don't know, I just have a feeling," Téa replied without looking away.
Looking at more information, Téa found out Alexandria was created later in time. The city was created by Alexander the Great, someone they had the pleasure or not depending on how you looked at it, to know him personally. They met him in India with the whole Capsule Monsters saga and Joey's fake trip. In the end, it was good when everything ended well. The place was constructed a few centuries later than the time Teana lived in. It was all falling into place. The reason Teana couldn't find it was because the place hadn't existed yet.
"Alexandria was founded by Alexander the Great in 332 B.C., some centuries after Teana." Téa looked at Atem for the first time.
"So, the artefact we're looking for is in Alexandria." Téa nodded at him.
"We're going to Alexandria."
Later, the preparations were made, and they were ready to depart for Egypt the same night. It was mainly thanks to Ishizu who arranged the whole journey. Ishizu was going to meet them in Alexandria tomorrow morning and act as their guide. Atem and Téa said their goodbyes to Yugi and grandpa going straight for the airport. Téa hadn't been working for a while, she took a holiday, maybe Téa was overusing it and she would be fired but Téa had more pressing issues to think about. They arrived at the airport and cleared all security.
"Okay, the flight is at ten o'clock, we have a couple of hours," Téa spoke while turning towards Atem.
"I have all the maps of Alexandria we could find, Ishizu will have other information she has access to as a museum curator," Atem informed her.
