Sasha stood under the warm cascade of the shower, letting the water wash over her as memories stirred beneath the surface. Her thoughts drifted back to the quiet town of Mellowed, to days long gone, and to the woman who had shaped her life, her grandmother.
Why was she thinking of those times now? There was no future waiting for her there, not anymore. Her grandmother had made sure of that. There was no reason to go back, no place for Sasha in that old life. She had left, and she intended never to return.
She thought of the letter, the one her grandmother had left behind, a final gift, a map to a better life.
My beautiful Sasha,
If you're reading this, it means I've joined your mother and father in heaven. The road we traveled was never easy, but we made it through together. There are things I must tell you, but I'll share only what matters most.
Your mother was a strong woman, and she made sure you were taken care of. When she and your father passed, they left you two million dollars each. I placed it safely in the bank, untouched. By now, the interest has grown to over that amount, maybe close to another million. Yes, Sasha, you have money, more than you might realize.
I have a five-million-dollar insurance policy of my own, plus savings from the hair store, a little over one hundred and fifty thousand dollars. I want you to know this because I want you to have a better life than we ever did. Please, don't spend it all at once. Use it wisely.
Most of all, I want you to be happy. Find joy, find peace, and live your life fully.
Until we meet again,
May.
The letter had brought tears more times than Sasha could count. It was a reminder of the sacrifices her family had made, the foundation they'd built just for her. She didn't know the details of her parents' lives or how they managed to leave such a legacy, but she trusted it was all for her.
Pulling on her robe, she began tidying up, thoughts heavy but heart full.
Her phone rang, slicing through the quiet.
"Hello?" she answered.
Silence. The number was blocked. She shrugged it off and started to clean.
The rain outside picked up, drumming on the roof, a soothing rhythm she had always loved. Pouring herself a glass of champagne, she tried to shake the unease creeping in.
Then the phone rang again.
This time, faint noises on the other end. No voice, just whispers.
She hung up.
The third ring came, but she didn't even reach for the phone.
A knock at the door jolted her. Her heart skipped, fear prickling her skin like cold rain.
When she finally opened it, she froze.
Tonya!
Soaked, shivering, and standing on her doorstep, looking nothing like the friend she once knew.
Memories flooded back, days when they were inseparable. Wherever Tonya went, Sasha followed. When Sasha prepared for battle, Tonya stood beside her. They were more than friends; they were sisters forged in fire.
"Do... do you want to come in?" Sasha asked, still unsure.
Tonya nodded, teeth chattering. "Yeah... I'd like that."
Sasha led her through the quiet house, the familiar rooms suddenly strange with Tonya's presence. She grabbed a robe from her bedroom.
"Here," Sasha said, handing it over. "The bathroom's down the hall, to the right. Use mine. The walk-in closet has a second door, which is the bathroom."
"Thanks," Tonya murmured, making her way down the hall.
When Tonya returned, wrapped in Sasha's robe, they settled by the window. Sasha sipped her wine, eyes tracing raindrops racing down the glass.
"How have you been?" Tonya asked quietly, sitting across from her.
"It's been a long time, stranger," Sasha smiled, bittersweet.
Tonya looked radiant, somehow more dazzling than Sasha remembered. But beneath the beauty, Sasha's mind raced. Why had Tonya come now? How had she found her?
"It's been too long," Tonya whispered, fingers brushing up Sasha's leg.
Sasha knew what was coming, but didn't pull away.
Tonya leaned in, pressing her lips softly to Sasha's. The moment Tonya's lips touched hers, Sasha was flooded with memories: the warmth, the passion, the connection they once shared.
It felt too good to resist.
Tonya hesitated, wondering if she should reveal why she'd really come. But looking at Sasha the way she responded, how her body trembled, she knew the time wasn't right. Desire filled the room, thick and undeniable.
Tonya slipped off Sasha's robe, revealing her glowing skin beneath the soft moonlight.
She traced her tongue gently along Sasha's collarbone and down her stomach, eliciting a soft moan.
Their bodies moved closer, lips finding skin, hands exploring familiar territory.
The world outside melted away. The room vanished. There was only suspended time, locked in an intoxicating dance of rediscovery.
Tonya wondered if she should tell her why she was really there. But not now, she could tell by how wet Sasha felt that she wanted her, and Tonya wanted her to. She pulled off Sasha's robe and looked at her beautiful, round breasts. Her body was amazing in the moonlight and glowing all over. Sasha let out a soft moan. It felt good to remember her touch. Tonya grabbed Sasha's hips and pulled her closer. She put her round lips on Sasha's clit and began to suck on it. Soon they were all over each other, kissing, sucking, and licking. The room felt as if the walls were gone and the bed was floating. There was only space; they had moved to a whole other domination.
