(Himiko's POV)
Me and Haruhi were walking down the long, large halls of the giant pink palace that we called a school. It still shook me to the core that I had actually gotten into here.
Haruhi opened the door to the last library and our ears were filled with the mindless chatter of rich kids. "This place has four library rooms. You'd think at least one of them would be quiet." I chuckled and nodded, joining her as she walked away down the hall, trying to find a quiet place for us to study properly.
I looked out of the window, humming quietly a tune that I remember hearing a few days ago from the first music room . I loved music a lot, but I was also really into art. I turned back, looking behind at Haruhi, who was staring out of the window in thought. I smiled sadly. She's probably thinking about mom...I thought, waiting patiently for her to snap out of it so we could continue our trek. She turned back to me and smiled a little, me smiling back.
We made our way up the large staircase and down many halls, until we came to a door. I looked up, looking at the little label above the door. 'Music Room #3'. I hummed, looking at Haruhi. I tilted my head and she shrugged. "An abandoned music room?" I mumbled. She shrugged again, placing her hand on the door knob. "I suppose it's the only place we have that we can study in piece and quiet." I nodded, watching as she slowly pushed the door open.
Bright light flooded our vision, rose petals fly through the now fully opened door as a chorus of 'welcome' sounded. A rose petal caught on my nose.
Soon enough the light show and rose petals went away, showing the infamous host club. Haruhi went rigid. I realized we were now in the room. I looked around confused before hearing two voices speak.
"Oh, it's just some boys." They sounded bored. I inspected them closely. I think those boys are in Haru's class...I thought. I soon moved my eyes around, inspecting everyone, until my eyes landed on the two boys who were in my class. Oh! I thought, Those two are Haninozuka and Morinozuka! I smiled a little, happy I knew at least someone. I felt like something bad was gonna happen with that there expensive looking vase on the pedestal.
The boy with glasses then spoke up. "Hikaru, Kaoru, I believe that one young man is in your class, no?" I hummed in thought. Hikaru and Kaoru...The said boys nodded, putting their hands up. I think Hikaru spoke first. "Yeah, but we don't know much about him." Kaoru spoke next. "Yeah, he's really shy and doesn't talk to anyone. We dunno who the other guy is though." Mitsukuni jumped up and down from his spot on the floor. "Me and Takashi know who he is! He's Himiko from our class!" my eyes widened a bit, not realizing they knew who I was. The glasses boy smirked. "Well, that isn't very nice. Welcome, Mr. honor students."
The blonde in the chair seemed to finally realize what was going on. "Wow! You two must the the exceptional honor students Haruhi and Himiko Fujioka!" I turned, looking at my sister who was currently trying to open the door that for some reason wasn't budging. She went rigid before she slowly turned around. "How do you know our names...?" Her voice was shaking, prompting me to go over and softly rub her back to comfort her.
"Well, your both infamous! It's not everyday a commoner like yourself, much less two of them, gets into this academy." Glasses spoke, writing absentmindedly in his little notebook. "You two must have some nerve to work yourselves so hard to get into here as honor students." I raised a brow. It sounded like he was mocking us... "Uhm...thanks...I guess..." Haruhi's voice broke me our of my thoughts. I nodded, smiling softly at everyone. I slightly pushed up my glasses, carefully inspecting everyone again.
The blonde in the middle rose from his chair and started to walk towards us. "Your welcome!" His voice was loud and cheery, but also very full of himself. "You two are heroes to the poor!" I blanked. Heroes...? He came closer, making me back up a bit. "You've shown that even a poor person like yourselves can get into an elite private academy! It must be so hard to be looked down upon by others!" I tilted my head. Do people look down on us cause we're poor..? Haruhi backed up, pulling my arm softly to follow her. "I think your taking this poor thing a little too far..." She mumbled, slightly pulling me behind her, despite me being older.
