Tragedy

Chapter 1

Heavy.
That's all I could think of. It was as if my body was being pressed down by something.
My eyes fluttered open and I tried to move when I heard a groan.
Or someone.
I quickly and quietly slipped from this stranger's grasp and slipped on some clothes and my usual boots with the killer heels. Finally outside, I ran home as fast as I could. If Aunt Karen found out that I hadn't been sleeping in my bed at home she would be mad and the last thing I wanted was for her to be mad at me.
She disapproved of many of the things I did but it was never serious until the night she found out I had been drinking more than a normal teenager should and that I had not been coming home and had instead been spending nights with random guys. Needless to say, I was grounded for eternity. Once I got to my room without her noticing, I climbed into my bed and fell asleep.

I woke up with a start, my whole body covered in sweat and ran to my
Aunt Karen's room.
"Blaire? Is that you?" She sleepily mumbled.
I laid down next to her and hugged her.
"The same nightmare?"
I nodded.
She signed and kissed the top of my head.
After a few minutes of laying there in silence, I went to go take shower and get ready for school, even though it was still early.
The hot, steaming water calmed me down and I let my muscles relax. Rubbing some shampoo into my long dark hair, I thought about how much I had changed. A few months ago, I had the perfect grades, my perfect friends and my loyal boyfriend of two years. My parents loved me and I enjoyed being the only child.
Then everything changed.
My life turned upside down on what seemed to be a normal Friday night.
Turing the water off, I got out of the shower and wrapped a towel around my dripping body. I quickly dried my hair and stared my reflection in front of the mirror, looking at the girl I now was. My once brown hair were now a dark shade of purple and my powdered skin made my eyes pop, due to the dark makeup around them. But all because of the unspeakable night, my soul was slowly drifting away and I didn't care about what happened to me. The Blaire with the life some people could only dream of no longer existed. All I was thankful of was that I had Aunt Karen to make me stay sane.

I walked into school tapping away at my cell when suddenly I bumped into something.

"Oof."
I looked up to see a guy from my health class smirking at me while shamelessly checking my bare legs out.
No, this is not the knight in the shining armour who's going to save the poor damsel in distress. Instead, he's the ugly manwhore who makes her life a living hell. Okay, more hot than ugly but whatever. He looked down at me and winked, while I rolled my eyes and strutted away.
No one knew the innocent, blonde girl with the wide eyes in this school. Instead, they got the pleasure of meeting the Blaire who was, quote unquote, "a slut."
After home room, I had a free period so I snuck away and went to my spot. No one in the school knew of the ledge where I would sit and smoke as no one came to the southern part of the school. Finally able to relax, I took out a cigarette and lit it. I took a drag and felt my body slowly easing into a state of peace. I closed my eyes and laid down on the ledge.
"Hey, um are you okay?"
The sudden noise made me jump up and almost lose my balance.
"Ahhh! What the fuck?!"
"Smoking is not allowed."
The mysterious seemingly boyish voice said. I looked around to find the source and found a tall kid with dark hair leaning against the wall. Dark hair tucked under a black beanie and blue eyes covered by a pair of geek glasses. He was cute, but not the type of guy I would do.
I scrunched my nose at him while I looked him up and down.
"Who the fuck are you?" I said to him walking closer.
"Um I'm Dylan."
"Well DYLAN, can I help you?"
"Um no but I -"
"Well then you can fuck off now"
"Okay but may I just say that-"
"No you may not."
He just looked down and walked away, his cheeks red with clear embarrassment.
Was I too harsh on the kid?
Nah.
