Season 2 of The Next Step focuses around A-Troupe competing at the Absolute Dance Nationals. The Next Step decides to host "The Challenge", a tryout where dancers from other studios that didn't win Regionals tryout for a spot in a Nationals team. This causes Stephanie and Tiffany to get kicked off the Nationals team, and for Amanda (Played by Logan Fabbro), Hunter and Thalia (Played by Zachary Vran and Taveeta Szymanowicz) to get placed on the Nationals team. Later on, Daniel leaves The Next Step for a rival studio.
