The next morning Fin woke up with a noticeable headache, but let it slide for the time being. Quenching his thirst and understanding what type of day it was going to be he coupled his morning coffee with a couple Tylenol's.
Fin woke up Archer for their day, knowing he would have to take him with him for his to do list for the day, the same way his parents used to do for him when he was his brothers age. Archer woke up with a tired yawn and stared up at his big brother.
"Wanna get some strawberries?" Fin asked, knowing his first stop was to Martha's place to give Mark his number. He was still unsure of going to this event with the young man but he knew it was wrong to make a promise to someone and not follow through.
Just the thought of putting a frown on the younger mans face hurt him for whatever reason, making him feel more guilty than if he actually had done it.
Archer was wide awake at the thought of going back to the berry stand, and getting to snack on one of his favorite fruits.
"Yes please!" And like magic the morning grump was up and running to the bathroom to brush his teeth.
Finn laughed at the boys enthusiasm and made his way back down the stairs to get things situated. Would he have enough money from his savings to afford lunch out, or should they pack something for the car ride? Car ride.
Fin groaned out loud at the thought. Gas money. Another small errand to squeeze into his day, but without a job Fin had time.
Arriving in front of the stainless steel fridge he opened it to find a few packages of sandwich meat left and decided it would be enough to hold themselves over until dinner time.
"Finnnn! When are we leaving?" Archie cried coming down the stairs, and Finn turned to meet his antsy brother.
"I'm probably fifteen minutes, I still have to change."
"Then hurry! We can't be late!" Archie cried and Fin felt a little guilty. He had been home so much recently that he didn't think about how cooped up his brother must really feel. How often did his parents go out with his younger brother?
"You don't even know where we are going," Fin laughed while packing the sandwiches in a paper bag.
"So?" Was his received reply back.
The boy continues to mope around the living room, audibly sighing, loud enough that Fin could hear his brother exaggerated pleas from upstairs while changing.
After checking his quick appearance, glancing to make sure his ensemble meshed well he was on his way. Confirming that his white and black striped shirt went well with his dark trousers was all he needed to know to be ready for his outing.
"Finally!" Archie jumped up from his sitting position on the couch to run and grab his sneakers from the shoe wrack.
"If you were so ready why didn't you put your shoes on yet?"
"I was on the couch."
With that the boys were off for their day together. Making sure Archie was safely secured in the back he went to the drivers side, plugging his phone into the aux and letting his brother pick whatever song he'd like off YouTube. Yay.. baby shark..
It never felt like it would end. That was until Archie could spot the house from the backseat and paused the song, excitement bubbling from his throat as he told his brother to go faster.
"I'm going as quick as we can while being safe!" Fin scolded back and Archie grumbled but relented.
Fin was relieved to see that it was Mark sitting at the stand. He pulled into the drive way and hopped out to unbuckle his brother, grabbing his phone from him in the process and the second Archie was out of the car he was running up to the stand to see what strawberry's were out.
