Early the next morning, Qi Ting was taken out of the Marquis' Manor's side entrance by two strong female servants.

An ordinary carriage was waiting outside, and the one driving the carriage was the person responsible for delivering vegetables from the hamlet. They would take advantage of this opportunity to have him bring Qi Ting away.

"You two, please wait!"

Suddenly hearing the sound from the door, the two servants stopped then saw a short maidservant walk out.

Though she was short, her clothes were not normal. They were clothes that only the top maidservant of the Marquis' Manor could wear.

There were only a few maidservants in the manor, and they all served in the Western Wing. This one was young and had clothes that were out of the ordinary. It was clear that this one was Yu Fu's personal servant, Yao Lan.

"Oh, Miss Yao Lan, why have you personally come out here?"

Though she was young, her status was higher than that of a normal servant, thus the two older servants spoke very respectfully.

Yao Lan smiled and pointed at the bundle that she was holding, "This, our young miss is benevolent and said that Yao Hong's things needed to be tidied up and brought out to her. It can be considered showing some consideration for their relationship as master and servant."

As she said this, she handed it over. Qi Ting was about to go and receive it; however, she was pulled back by the two servants.

"The young miss is too benevolent! Instead of keeping these nice clothes and accessories to be rewarded to good servants, why give them to her? Yao Hong is going to a hamlet in the countryside and will only be able to wear coarse clothes. She won't be able to wear them even if they're given to her."

Yao Lan noticed the bright looks in their eyes and seemed to have realized something, thus she smiled and said: "You two can take a short break. Let me say a few things to Yao Hong. Her name was changed to go along with mine, thus there is some sort of a bond between us!"

"You're right, you're right! Then Miss Yao Lan, we will go and wait while you chat!"

After saying this, they quickly departed. While walking, they began to search through the bundle. It seemed as though they were trying to pick out things that were of value.

Qi Ting angrily watched this unfold then fiercely glared at Yao Lan.

"You think I want your fake kindness? It would have been better if you hadn't brought me my bundle of stuff. Now that you have, it's going to be taken away by those grannies. It's clear that you've done it deliberately!"

Yao Lan shot her a fierce look.

"I'll tell you that ever since I was young, I beat many male servants while growing up in Immortals Valley. The most severe incident was when I accidentally got poisoned and only recovered after sleeping for three days. I am indeed a girl from the wild, but our young miss is not. Lord Marquis might be able to forgive you for your disrespect towards the young miss, but are you not afraid that others might not forgive you?"

Qi Ting was frightened by her frightening glare and took a step back.

"If... If your young miss isn't a girl from the wild, who could she be? I am not afraid! A girl from the wild was lucky to have made Lord Marquis entertained. If it wasn't the case, how could she possibly have any standing in the manor? She's not even as good as me!"

"Stop spouting bullshit here. Based on how you are, do you think that you're worthy of being compared to the young miss? I'll tell you that our young miss' status is higher than that of any of the young sirs in the manor. Only Princess DanYang is on her level!"
