Hey guys! Make sure you've read the previous chapter! I notice sometimes if I update twice within a few days, people accidentally miss updates.

Also, be sure to check out my other Brian May fanfic- "Losing My Way" if you haven't yet! I am working on the next chapter for that story right now.

Thank you all for your comments! ❤️ Before this, I never thought that I could write something that people would enjoy.

All of you, and these stories have made me feel so incredibly happy- even in the worst of times.

Brian's POV

My heart was still pounding. The sweat was still pouring down my face. The both of us were trying hard to catch our breath, laying side by side under the night sky. I reached out for her hand, and she gave mine a squeeze.

The effect she had on me was mind blowing. From the day she appeared in our recording studio, she's made me braver- bolder than I've ever been. I've never felt so alive in my entire life.

"I love you." Heather whispered, still looking at the sky.

I turned over and kissed her cheek. "I love you more." I buried my face against her neck and closed my eyes, breathing in the smell of her hair. She was incredible, indescribable- a work of art.

I put my palm on her stomach, feeling it rise with her breath. I imagined it swollen and round with our child. I imagined feeling little kicks against my hand. I imagined her in a wedding dress. I imagined her laughing, singing, painting, smiling while growing older with me.

"Run away with me." I said, suddenly sitting up.

Her eyebrows furrowed. "Brian-"

"Run away with me," I repeated, pulling her hand to my lips. "Marry me. Be my wife."

She closed her eyes, a look of pain on her face. "Brian." She said, just barely audible- like a ghost of a word.

"You're everything to me." I pushed my face, eyes closed, against her hand. "Everything. Be my wife. Marry me."

"I don't exist here. I'm invisible." She said, her voice starting to tremble. "They would find us, Brian... You have a life-"

I squeezed my eyelids together, frustrated. "I don't want that life."

She was silent as she sat up and cupped my face in her hands. We pressed our foreheads together. I wished that we could simply melt into one another so that nothing could ever separate us again.

"Can we pretend," she whispered. "For the rest of tonight- can we just pretend that the future is ours?"

"That you can stay?" I asked.

"That I was always here."

I smiled, a bit sadly. "Yes darling."

"It'll have tons of lace." She said, eating another cherry. "Off-white, bohemian style," she looked off into the distance, thinking. "With a long train full of little flowery details."

She threw the cherry pit into the grass and grabbed another. "Or something completely outrageous and non- traditional..." Her eyebrows lifted in amusement. "Red, with long sleeves and a veil- like Lydia from Beetlejuice!"

I laughed, laying my head in her lap as she played with my hair. "The only Betelgeuse I know of is the tenth brightest star in the sky. Besides, haven't you heard the saying- 'Marry in red, better off dead'?"
