It was like any other day in the life of a homeless girl trying to keep herself an d her family alive. It's been a few day after the mysterious boy gave us food, his blue eyes burned into my memory. I only saw him out and about with the number two hero, witch I could only assume was his father. Whenever he got the chance he would sneak away and come and hand me some food, it was never much but it still meant the world to me. He would never talk to me, just give me food then left without another word leaving me confused and a warm heart. How could one be so nice and not ask for something in return. I also wondered why he always came back, he would always get in trouble for leaving but he did the same as always. He was such a strange boy to say the least, strange but kind.
It was a colder night the time I arrived at the cardboard house, it being the start of winter making a shiver at the wind nipping at my skin. Turning the corner knowing my siblings were sound asleep having been so late, the 'job' that needed to be done too longer then expected. They must have been so cold with the thin blankets we had found in the trash, making me bite my lip in discomfort from the cold. Having been so late I din't see the silhouette of the person standing in front of the hone we had built, the stranger looking like he was about to go inside to see. My big sister instincts kicked in as the wave of adrenaline hit, the need to protect them now being the top priority. Running at full speed towards the person sending a hard kick to there side, making them fall to the ground on there back. In a flash I was on top of them with my legs on both sides of there torso pining them down, holding the small knife to there throat. "What the hell do you think your doing?!" I said in a harsh whisper the stranger not struggling agents me, replying in a slightly panicked voice. "Woah woah chill, its just me!" He also talked in a hushed tone, making me believe he knew that there where children sleeping just next to our fight. I was very dark so seeing was not a thing that was happening for me, but the flicker of a blue light made me see who I had caught.
A boy pined under me, the same boy I had been seeing all week. Red spiky hair that went in every which way, strong bone structure could make out his jaw. And the same magnificent captivating blue eyes looked back into mine. His eyes caught me in a trance, leaving still with no intent to move. "Hello, you can get off me now. I'm not going to hurt you." He said in a soft voice, making a slight shade of pink run across my face. You could say the position we where in could have sent mixed messages, as I almost sprung off him in record timing. "Ah sorry! I thought you where a bad guy." I honestly say to him, rubbing my arm in a shay way truing to give some comfort. He sat up laughing at my reaction, the blue light witch I had learned was his flame sat in the palm of his hand. "It's okay! I would do the same thing if someone was trying break into my house." He stood up and walked over to the oil bin that had pilled garbage in it, placing his hand on top of the trash making the flame grow withing seconds. It made large fire ready to warm anyone who go near it.
I sat there staring in aw as the blue flames began to grow, the boy looking back at me with a raised brow. "Get you ass over here ,your gonna freeze to death if you stay out like that." Not wanting to die of hypothermia I stood up and made my way beside him, sticking my hands out to feel the heat of the flames licking at my hands. We stood there in silents for what felt like forever, it was and unpleasant silents like it needed to be filled with conversation. I looked over to see the handsome boy stare off into the blue flames, making his face light up in a aesthetic kind of way.
He must have had the feeling of me watching him as he looked over towards me a small smirk putting at the edges of his mouth. "What want to say something?" He had taunting voice when he spoke to me, my eyes looking back at the flames in a way to think about what was happening. "Uh, thanks..." I blank at what his name was only have heard it once and having the memory of a blue fish in a movie. He chuckled at my awkwardness at the fact I had no idea what his name was. "Toya." Looking back at his face putting the name to fa face does a lot, his name suiting his completion quite well. "Well thank you Toya, for all that you have done for me." I flash him a quick smile showing that I was truly grateful to him for the surface he had given me, a small shade of pink dusted his face at the complement. He covered his face with one hand and waved me off with the other, certainly a way to stop the heat rising to his face. "It's not a problem.... uh what's your name again?" I giggle at how awkward he was being, also in the fact he din't also know my name. "It's (Y/n)." he gave an unsure laugh as he rubbed the back of his neck. "(Y/n), it's a pretty name." He spoke looking back into the flame, we started to make more conversation as the night when on only ending when he had to leave.
