;- afraid to fall
with a cup of ginger tea and a cup caramel macchiato in his hands, Jungkook enters the conference room where no one is there except that particular someone.
He then spots Jimin sitting by one of the sofas, probably scrolling through his fans's twitter post or comments on his newest selca. The artist was so immersed and glued to his own phone that he did not notice Jungkook's presence. They are here today to discuss on the agenda for the period they were going to stay in Tokyo and purchase of the tickets to the said country.
Jungkook wonders why is Jimin down the company so early, the discrepancy between now and the meeting time is still approximately 20minutes. He walks over to the male in which Jimin could have sense some movements that he shot up his head to meet with a pair of dark brown eyes belongs to the producer.
"M-Morning" Jungkook greets but only to receive a vague smile from Jimin before the male lowers his head to continue whatever he is up to on his phone earlier before Jungkook enters the room.
So what now? Jimin went back to its original shell? What has happened last night was being long forgotten that Jimin is back to being such a bitch to everyone around him again?
Jungkook scoffs and gets straight to the point, "our talk and that little time spent together last night meant nothing to you huh?"
Jimin shots up his head and looks at the tall male in front of him, "what do you expect me to feel Jeon? I don't hold feelings, I don't like people to care for me. I like being alone, is it too much that I'm asking for"
I don't hold feelings.
These four words could not stop ringing in Jungkook's mind, triggering him in and out. He could not quite comprehend what Jimin was trying to imply in his words. Is the older trying to ask Jungkook to stay away and kick away the friendship that they were starting to build last night?
Staring into Jimin's dark orbs, Jungkook knew even before Jimin spoke next; the sparkle of yesterday was extinguished. His eyes moved slower and always more down-cast, skimming the floor, rarely raising to eye level. It was in his tone of voice earlier too, quieter, with a meekness that wasn't what Jungkook heard from him last night.
"You can't be this selfish, Jimin. You deserve to be protected and being cared, y-you always do" Jungkook's tone shivered a little.
"No!" Jimin states with much determination, "that's who i am, the perfectionist that everyone calls. It's just Park fucked up Jimin"
"Why would you called yourself that? You know everyone loves you, your fans, your family"
"Oh please, cut the crap. Don't speak to me as if you know me that well Jeon. We're merely acquaintance, which is the initial plan"
"You know what Jimin, nobody fucked you up. You did this to yourself, just continue to sink in your self instincts and work your ass off to be that 'perfectionist' that you always dreamt of." Jungkook bends two of his index in the air to create a non existence inverted commas, emphasising the word 'perfectionist'
Before Jungkook stomps off to the further armchair and get ready for the meeting that is about to start to 10 minutes, he says again, "don't ever call me 'Jeon', just don't"
With that, he dashes off in a hurried manner, could not stand facing someone with such a beautiful face yet with spirit of nothingness but dull.
-
Jimin taps his fingers on the table as he stares blankly into the space in front of him, letting his mind wander as Jungkook speaks during the meeting.
