Chapter seven
The drive home from school was pretty boring, when I got home I made sure to call my mother first, asking how everything was and telling her to apologize from my behalf for not being there, I actually wanted to go, but with school and everything, it was not possible to do so.
After calling my mom, changing and heating up last night’s dinner, I sat down on the couch and called Addie, deciding to at least tell her about the party, maybe she and Liam wanted to actually go.
She answered on the fourth ring.
“Hey Niall, how was hell?”
I rolled my eyes and decided to ignore her.
“Addie, do you know a girl named Lindsay from school? Short, blonde?”
“Yeah, she’s cool, talks a lot, but she’s cool.”
So it isn’t just me then.
“She invited us, as in me, you and Liam to her party, I’m not going, but I thought you might want to go.”
“Yeah, sure, why the hell not? I’m in the mood for a party”
There was a short pause and then I heard her yell making me hold the phone away from my ear and flinch at her volume,
“Liam! We’re going to a party tonight! Get ready babe!”
I heard a faint sound from the background very much like Liam’s voice,
“Wait Babe? Are you two like together now? Why didn’t I know of this?”
“Hey, I told you when you texted me Ni, and I don’t have to tell you scratch.”
“You told me you were making out! I thought you were joking! That’s what you’re supposed to think when one of your friends texts you they’re making out with another friend!”
I can’t believe they’re actually together! Good for Liam to finally grow a pair of balls and do something about it.
“The right thing to do would be to say congratulations not nagging.”
“Okay, congratulations, better?”
“Much, thank you Niall”
I chuckled and shook my head; I heard the alarm of the microwave go off signaling my food was ready and stood up walking towards the kitchen,
“Anyways, why aren’t you coming, Lindsay might talk a lot, but she can throw a hell of a party.”
I shrugged my shoulders out of habit not really caring she couldn’t see me and said:
“I don’t know, Parties aren’t really my thing you know? And there’s no way in hell I’m coming so don’t try to convince me otherwise.”
“Great, We’ll pick you up at seven. See you later Niall.”
“I’m not-”
I heard the beep indicating she hung up on me and looked at my phone with disbelief,
“She hung up on me!”
I was flipping through channels looking for anything interesting to watch but every freaking channel was either showing a documentary, cooking shows or a movie I hated.
God, I hate it when this happens.
I heard the doorbell and rolled my eyes contemplating if I should get up and answer it or not, knowing it was Addie probably ready to banter with me because I wasn’t ready.
