September 2, 2019- Day 186

Joy just finished delivering another local order. It was for a sweet girl's 4th birthday party and her parents requested a Frozen-themed cake. Joy had spent hours crafting Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and the rest of the characters, on top of a huge detailed castle on the cake. All the hard work, though, paid off when she saw how the little girl's face lit up when she received her cake. The little girl's parents were equally elated and had promised Joy to get her services again.
Seeing such scene, Joy couldn't help but get excited for her own birthday the next day. She had already planned out her very first birthday cake. It will be a Jeju-inspired one, with little figurines of the people she got close with in her stay here. It will be a cake that featured her home.
She planned to drop by Sungjae's unit to tell her plans and invitations. They haven't seen each other since their previous meeting at the bay, but Sungjae called last night to assure her that everything was okay.
Joy pushed Sungjae's lock code as soon as she arrived at his apartment. She has been here many times anyways and Sungjae had trusted her with his code. She was happy about it- even if it's still SoHyun's birthday.
Upon entering, her eyes widened with the scene right in front of her.
Sungjae's unit was fully decorated with all the party essentials you can think of- from balloons to a self-made photo booth. A banner at the center then captured her attention.
*Welcome Home!* it says.
Joy's tears were now starting to build up at the corner of her eyes.
Did Sungjae oppa do all of this? Is this why he hasn't been meeting me? Is this like an advanced birthday party for me, then?
Her heart was beating fast and she was smiling ear to ear. Suddenly, the door flung open revealing six men, each with food boxes in their hands.
"What the- Joy-ah?" Hyunsik exclaimed. He wasn't expecting Joy to be here.
"Oh, crap. Did we just ruin the surprise?" Minhyuk nervously asked the others.
Eungkwang scratched his head. "Um... Joy-ah, I think we were supposed to surprise you. Sungjae contacted us this morning to get these food boxes for the surprise but I guess that dumb head forgot to organizing the timing of our arrivals" He then foolishly laughed.
"I thought he said a while ago that he was going to pick up her though?" Ilhoon asked with knitted brows.
Joy chuckled. The panic in the eyes of the men in front of her was obvious but she couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the thought of this surprise. Nobody has ever planned an event for her in her life. "It's okay, my oppas! You're still all cool to me. Thank you so much" Joy gave her killer smile which assured the older men. She then continued, "Hmm, why don't we surprise Sungjae instead?" Joy mischievously smiled. She knows the men are totally into these tricks.
"I LIKE THAT!!! I TOTALLY LIKE THAT!!!" Ilhoon bursted into laughter.
"Okay, I'll just hide at the kitchen! You guys surprise him first then I'll be the finale!" Joy excitedly said while the others nodded.
Everyone else took their position. Ilhoon took out his phone to record this embarrassing moment for Sungjae. Hyunsik took the liberty to text Sungjae informing him that they have arrived in his unit. It will be a total chaos- just like how it has always been.
Changsub on the other hand was just quiet. Something is not right. He thought to himself. He shook his head and just prayed that his maknae won't be doing something stupid today.
