Misunderstood

Chapter 10

- Why did you follow me? – She asked as she stood up to face him.

- I couldn't let you be alone after what happened. – He said, being honest with her as he got closer, getting one thumb on her cheeks, cleaning the tears that were still streaming down her face.

The silence was taking over that moment and Alex, feeling Liam's touch on her, just wrapped her arms around his waist, holding him tightly, crying even more with the fact that he was there and she needed someone next to her. Feeling that move of Alex, Liam wrapped his massive and strong arms around her neck, holding her tightly and not letting her go, knowing she needed to let it all out. He knew in him that she was not capable of killing and that was something that was not even crossing his mind. All he wanted at that moment was showing her some support and showing her that he was there, no matter what. She was not alone and hearing her crying and sobbing was ending him. Liam knew she was in pain and he couldn't do anything to take that way besides being there with her, keeping his arms around her and rubbing her back as he whispered "shhh" in her hear, in a way of calming her down.

- What a second date. – Whispered Alex, in the middle of the sobs as she got one hand on his chest, placing her hand over his heart, feeling it beating really fast.

- I couldn't ask for a better one. – He whispered as he stepped back a little and gazed at her for a while.

- Liam... - She whispered as she looked at him in the eyes. – This was not how things were supposed to go, especially after what you just saw...

- What I just saw was a man beating a woman and that is something that you shouldn't tolerate you know? – He said looking at her, meaning his words.

- That must be the last question you wanna ask me right now. – She said, feeling her heart beating faster with the thought of what he could possibly ask her.

- I do have some things I do wanna ask you but I wanna make sure you are good to answer them. – He said meaning his words as he slowly held her hands, entwining his fingers with hers.

- You already listen to everything didn't you?? You were here hearing me talking... - Alex said as she looked down at his moves and to their hands, smiling a little with his moves.

- I did listen and I am sorry. – Regretting was all Alex could hear in his voice. – I know it was not right but I didn't want to interrupt you so I stood behind...

- And you are still here? – Alex asked as she held his hands tightly.

- Shouldn't I?? – He asked confused, nodding a lot as he looked at her and smiled with the fact that she was holding his hands tightly.

- After everything, why are you still here?? You know what I am Liam. – Nodded Alex, looking down. – You should be scared of me.

- I don't know the entire story and why would I be scared of you?? – He asked quickly, nodding a lot at that moment.

- Because of what happened and what you heard. – She said making it sound obvious.

- I will believe in what you tell okay?? I don't believe you are what you are saying and I would love to get to know that. I would love to know what happened and what your story is because I know in me that you are not what you say you are.

- Liam, it's really complicated. – She whispered as she looked to the tree and kept herself hugged to him, still holding his hands.

- Do you wanna tell me? Do you wanna talk with me? – He asked, not wanting to push her that much.
