A/N: first things TRIGGER WARNING: DEPICTION OF PHYSICAL ABUSE, GRAPHIC DESCRIPTION OF BODY HORROR OF BOTH A CHILD AND A DOG

SKIP OR STOP READING WHEN YOU FIND "***"  SYMBOLS IF YOU ARE NOT OK WITH READING THAT

This is my first time posting a fic after so long, so sorry if this is bad!

I changed a lot of things.

SEC arc just means shigaraki's early childhood, it's going to be the first part of this story.

This is gonna be a slow burn, or at least that's the idea. This fic was inspired by tiktok, crack theories and a fic called, the wards of UA on AO3 which you should totally check out!

Nobody liked heroes.

At least nobody that Shimura knew liked heroes. His father especially. Tenko learned how much he hated heroes at a young age. He had a good reason to do so. and his words were absolute in his household.

It was stupid of him to even like them anyways.

Everyone seemed to love him. Shimura couldn't find a reason as to why anyone would. They got to pick and choose who was worth saving. It didn't even matter if they were related or not. Who can hurt people, who can't. What's good and what's bad. Whose deem worth saving and who's not. Tomura wasn't one of the people who got to be saved and could live with that.

It still hurts him though.

It hurts to know that the heroes didn't think they were worth saving. His mom, him and his sister- that question of, why? Why nobody came to help. That question haunted Shimura for the longest time.

After all, he waited for so long hoping for someone to come save them. To at least save his sister. But no one came. Instead they were dismissed. Discard. Turned away. All because they couldn't show off their fancy quirk. All because there was no traditional sense of a villain. All because there was no big fight to be fought. it's as if nobody heard him screaming and begging for help.

Not even his own family.

There was a time when he liked heroes. The boy would secretly play heroes with his sister when his father wasn't around with his mother. When things were simpler.

Around the time his quirk manifested Tenko only had an older sister. It was tough growing up and ever since his quirk came, it all went downhill from there.

Hana was only trying to make him feel better. Before all this happened. She was just trying to be a good older sister.

Earlier that day she went through some of her parents old stuff and found a box full of pictures. Hana had asked, interrupting their mother, who was talking with their grandparents over the phone, about it. After finishing her call, Nao, their mother turned her attention to her daughter.

At first, she told her that she wasn't really allowed to go in her father's office, but ultimately didn't see the big deal of hana knowing. It's not like her husband would know. It would be their little secret. So, the both of them went through the pictures as she told her daughter the stories behind each of them.

On that same day Nao's parents were dropping by for dinner. They arrived not too long after they called in, so she hadn't had time to prepare dinner. Which they luckily didn't mind waiting. Both hana and tenko happily greeted them.

Afterwards hana wanted to show tenko about what she'd learn. She knew Tenko would be so happy to find out what she now knew about their family. As their mother prepared dinner while their grandparents chatted, Hana walked in the living room. There she finds her little brother nearby, playing with his toys on the floor.
