Tie Swap

Harry Potter awoke to the feeling of his boyfriend of 4 years cuddled against him. He tried to wriggle out of his grasp, but felt arms tighten around him, and he shivered as he felt his boyfriend's breath waft across his neck. He reached for his want, and cast a quick Tempus. Turning around to face the man next to him, he said,

"Draco, Love. Dray. Dragon. You have to get up. It's 7, and breakfast in the hall starts at 8. We need to get back to the dorms before anyone notices we've been missing."

His boyfriend groaned, but sat up. They both knew this routine very well. Draco and Harry had been dating since their 4th year at Hogwarts. He had wandered out of bed one night, when the stress in his current situation had been getting to him, and broken down. Draco has found him there, in the corridor, bawling his eyes out. At first Harry wanted to yell at him, but he had seemed so...genuinely worried about Harry. They stayed like that, together, all night, and within a week they were dating. During the war, Draco was forced to become a Death Eater because of his father. When she learned of this, Narcissa came to Harry, as the new Head of the Black Family, and Begged for sanctuary. Draco was forced to stay, or they would hunt for him, in turn endangering his mother. But throughout the war, he never killed, sending green colored lights that disguised his stunners or body binds instead. After the war, they both decided to return to Hogwarts. However, the problem was keeping this a secret from Ron and Hermione, which was why they had developed this routine. In their younger years, they had been forced to stage fights to hide their relationship. Now, they could be neutral towards each other. But Ron and Hermione were as nosy as ever. They had already noticed that Harry was happier than usual, and were trying to pry it out of him. Hence, why he needed to be in the dorms before they woke up.

With these thoughts running through his brain, he placed a soft kiss on Draco's lips, and slid through a new door that had just appeared. One good thing about the room of requirements; if you needed to go somewhere in the castle, it would provide you with a door that lead there. Harry slipped into his four poster bed, still in his pajamas, and fell asleep, until he was awoken by Ron's shouting. (He had seen a spider.)

At breakfast that morning, Harry could hardly concentrate, as he was focusing on Draco. He still didn't know how Hermione could be so smart, and yet so oblivious at the same time. After breakfast he had transfiguration, then charms, and then potions. After potions, he doubled back, hoping to catch Draco, when he felt someone whisper in his ear. "Meet me in our special place?"

Their so called "special place" was an alcove in between the kitchens and the prefects' bathroom. Once they got there, they threw up a few privacy charms, and began to have some much appreciated alone time.

1 Hour Later

Harry, with mussed up hair, and Draco, whose hair was somehow still in place, rushed out of the alcove. Harry left first, entering the Great Hall and sitting next to Ron and Hermione, who were arguing. Draco entered in a pack on Slytherins, unnoticed. No one paid attention to Draco as he walked in, and he sat behind Pansy, as not to be noticed. Ron and Hermione turn to him, saying- "Harry, what do you-" and their mouths fell open.

Harry looked around. Yep, they were definitely staring at him. Come to think of it, ALL the Gryffindors around him we're staring at him.

He looked at them in confusion, and asked, "What? Why are you all staring at me?"

At that moment, Ginny Weasley entered the Hall, and sat down across from Harry. She looked at him, looked at the rest of the table, and then finally said, "Harry? Are you wearing a Slytherin tie?"

He looked at her oddly, and then glanced down, his eyes widening. He WAS wearing a Slytherin tie. Wait. If he was wearing a Slytherin tie, then that meant...he glanced over at the Slytherin table. Pansy Parkinson and Blaise Zabini, Draco's best friends and the only ones that knew of their relationship, were looking at him with wide eyes. Wait. Where was...

"Potter." He heard the cool, drawling voice of his boyfriend behind him. He slowly turned around, and saw Draco standing there-sure enough- wearing a Gryffindor tie.

He glanced at his his boyfriend.

"Malfoy. What're you doing here?" He asked, trying to convey what he meant through his cool gaze.

Hermione was looking between the two of them as if she had just figured something out, but was trying to convince herself.

Draco mind messaged him;

I think it's time.

When Draco had taught him occlumency, (he was a much better teacher than Snape, although the reward kisses may have helped with that), they had developed a mind link. It made it much easier to set up meeting times. However, it also meant that Draco could flirt with him in class, and none of the teachers understood why he was going so red. The mental pictures he could send made it worse.

Are you sure?

Yeah, I mean, it's been 4 years Har. You need to tell them.

But Dragon, what if they hate me?

If they decide to not be your friend over something like that, then they never deserved to be your friends in the first place.

Harry took a deep breath, and smiled at his boyfriend.

"Wait a minute, Harry," Ron sneered in Draco's direction. "What is HE doing with your tie?"

Ron, as usual, was overly loud, and they now had the attention of the entire hall.

Harry took a deep breath. "Ron, Hermione...if you hadn't figured it out by now, this is why Draco is wearing my tie."

Draco took hold of Harry's (his?) tie, and pulled him in for a searing kiss. The hall was silent. Until Ron, who looked pale and clammy, fainted, and fell off of the bench with a clunk. There was a scream of horror from a portrait, *cough cough, Professor Snape, cough cough*, and Headmistress McGonagall jumped up out of her seat, and began to yell thing like "In your face!" And "Booyah!" And "So there!" at Professor Trelawney, who looked affronted. Hermione joined Ron on the floor. Seeing their display, and then seeing her favorite professor act so undignified was too much for her. This broke the ice, and the rest of the hall burst into laughter.

Harry learned his head on his boyfriend's shoulder, and thought to himself, well, that's one way for them to find out.
