Eygpt POV

Keeping my breathing at an even in and out, moving in a quick jog on the side of an high way. I watch as the sun slowing begin to rise.

Moving my eyes to look straight ahead. I tried my hardest not to but I couldn't hold back the flashback of my time at the military camp.

Flashback

"Ok, listen up boys and girl-" I listened and watched nerve as the big muscle Bald man in a black v neck shirt, camouflage cargo pants and army boots begin to explain the drill we're going to be doing today. "-today we're going to have a little bit of fun. There's a 100 mile woods behind this camp and your going to run it. Once you get to the end off the 100 mile run there is a bus waiting for you to bring your little trouble asses here"

"What's so fun about that" A new girl that just got here three days ago ask. Gen. Davis turned and glared at her. She did nothing but smirk at him, showing she's not afraid. At least not yet.

"Speak out of line again candidate and you'll regret it" his voice was low and scary. Even the voices in my head knew not to step out of line when we do this.

"Since your new here, I'm going to explain this once and once only. You will be drop off at the edge of the wood, you will here a bell Once that bell go off run through the woods. The fun part is if your caught by any of my officers you will be whip five times" the girl had a look of horror on her face. I guess she didn't expect that.

It was only five of us. That's because we are the most undisapened, disrespectful, and the only ones who have not been broken. There were more of us when I had first came here but as time went on and the punishment became more hush, the less people would act up.

I try to do good but the voices refused.

.......

Ring!

I took off into a full sprint but careful not to make to much noise. The three boys ran in different directions then me. It's not good to stay in a group, it would make it easy for them to catch us.

It's every man and women for themselves out here.

"Here! Wait up!"

I growl with annoyance but kept moving.

"Let go of me. Just kept moving and kept quiet and you'll make it" I try to pull my arm out of her grip but she just holds on tighter. I look at the girl, she was tell 5'7, dark brown eyes and hair and she had a tattoo sleeve. That's the bad girl look for you.

"Just let me catch my breath"

"Get away from her, she's slow and weak. She'll get us caught" D the voice in my head growls. "How lon-" my hand over her mouth cuts her off. The birds in the trees and stop singing.

I listen hard, waiting for any signs.

A bird from the top of a tree sets off an intruder alert. Moving quickly I grab the girl arm and pulled her into a full on run. "What. What's going on?"

"They found us" was all I said.

Letting go of the girl arm. I begin to run for my life. This is not the first nor the second time I was forced to run though these woods. I had lost count of how many times I ran though these woods.

While running I hear a grunt and something crushing to the ground. Don't look back, don't look back. "Help!"

I'm going to regret this. "Don't do it" D growls. but I did, I turned around and ran towards the girl that was now on the ground being whip on her back.

The mans back was facing me. Good.

I was a foot away from the man when he turned around but it was far to late to do anything to save himself. I had already tackle him to the ground before he was able to process what was going on.

But this man was large, more experience and an ex soldier. He knew how to gain the upper hand. I struggled to stay onto. "Run!" I yell to the girl, not looking at her. "But what about you?"

"I'll catch up with you, just remember you own us a favor"

"Us?"

"Just go!" The sound of her running filled my ears.

I grip on the guard was slipping. "Please please please D, help me. I'll do anything" I pleased in my head. "Anything you say. Remember that"

Without my doing, my head slams into the soldiers head with great force. Stoping his struggling and knocking him out.

Jumping off him I begin to run.

It wasn't long before I caught up with the girl. "What happened to your head?" I put my hand to the front of my head to feel that it was bleeding. I didn't answer her.

......

It didn't take long for more guards to catch up with us.

"We have to slit up. Keep running straight" I didn't give her time to answer. I made a sharp right turn. My breath begin to come out in huffs. looking behind me I seen all three of the guards were now chasing me.

I guess I'm the target now.

"Don't do it, don't you give up" D try's to encourage me but its words just went to deaf ears.

Before I had the chance to drop to my knees, I was knock out of control of my own body.

Devil POV

"Don't do it, don't you give up" I try to encourage her. I fear that she's a few whips away from being traumatize.

Forcing her out of control, I took over. I'm the only one who can make her life a living hell no one else.

Running with all I have. I fly pass trees. Turning a sharp left, hoping to lose them. But I knew I couldn't, these men are ex soldiers. And they are gaining on me.

I cry out when I felt a whip hit my back and another. The next whip was so hard it brought me to my knees.

Flashback over

I was knock out of my flashback by the yells of people. I was so into my past memory that I was sprinting though the streets, pushing people out of my way.

No matter how hard I try to tell myself that no one was chasing me, my legs kept moving. "Miss are you ok?" A young male maybe in his early 20s asked while standing in my path. Maybe If I wasn't being traumatic I wouldn't have done what I did but I was.

I didn't see him as a normal man, no. He was the enemy. Instead of seeing the faded blue jeans and a shirt with designs on it, I seen him in camouflage cargo and a clean black v neck shirt.

I'm not going back, I'm never going back.

Kneeling the man in his stomach with all the strength I had and kneed him in the face as he bent over.

Leaving him there in shock and pain, I begin running again.
