Meet my friends

"Nikki!" I turn as I heard my name being called by my best friend Audrey. Audrey was running towards me with a bright smile. "Yeah, whats up Audrey?" I replied, glad to see her happy. "I just wanted to walk to school with you that's all." Audrey finally was at the side of me walking. "Oh, that's nice of you." I gave a warm smile. "So, how are you and Jordan doing?" Audrey asked. Jordan is my boyfriend, he is a very lovable guy, he is a football player for our school team as well. "Oh we are doing good, we watched the movie 'A silent voice' last night at his house" I blushed slightly. "You guys sure love anime" She giggled. 

Soon we arrived at school, we went separate ways to go to our first class. As I walked into my first class, people started whispering to the person closest to them, while looking at me. I thought to myself 'they are probably talking about me, their eyes are looking directly at me.' No one was behind me, so that must mean it's me their talking about. I go to my assigned seat next to Max, he was the only one who didn't whisper to anyone about me. 

Max's dark brown hair still looked messy as always, Max trying to look cool so they don't mind him being short for a 15 year old male (Which doesn't work.) Max grinned at me, his feet propped up on the table "Hey Nikki!" "You know you're going to get yelled at again by Mrs. Adams, and you will cry again" I rolled my eyes, but laughing a bit. "N-no I won't!" He said trying to deny the truth. "Your loss" I looked at the teacher, who was about the start taking attendance.

Soon she got to my name "Nikki?" I smile "Here!" then her eyes go to max "Max, get your foot off the table, for the last time!" She demanded, and waited for him to. He took his foot off the table and I could see him tearing up as he crossed his arms. I couldn't help but giggle a little "You knew that was going to happen, but still denied it." "Y-yeah, you we're right, I just want to be cool" Max whined. "Then be the real you!" I smiled at him, which made him smile back. "I wouldn't become cool still, because i'm gay" He looked down. The teacher got done with attendance about to start the lesson. "It's fine to be gay, don't let that get to you." I winked at him (Not in a flirting way of course.) 

After that class I headed to my next class, I didn't have any real friends in there but, had people acting like they where my friends. "So you want to come party with us on friday Nikki?" A blonde hair girl asked. "Oh, I already got invite to a party for this friday, sorry." I gave a nervous smile. "That's fine! At least you still get to party!" A brown hair girl smiled. And soon class started.

After my 2nd class and 3rd class it was finally time for lunch. As I went to the table that Max, Audrey, Jordan, and me sat at, I got stopped by a taller male. "Are you okay?" The male asked "Yeah I'm okay, thanks for not getting mad at me." I smiled. That was a lie, I wanted someone to tell me something like "Watch where you're going!" for once. "Oh, I don't like being mean to others, so don't worry about me trying to hurt you physically or mentally" He started walking off after saying "Bye!" I started walking to my table in confusion he didn't look familiar. As I sat down Audrey looked at me with her confused blue eyes as she put her wavy black long hair into a bun "Whats on your mind Nikki?" "Is there a new kid?" I look at her. "Yeah, there is but no one thought it was true, I don't know why though. Life is so confusing." She answered me sighing. "Hah, this my chance to show him i'm the coolest here!" Max hopped up out of his seat. Jordan stood up to block his way "Don't scare off the new kid, he is already making friends, don't want to scare him off, right?" "Eh, I guess." Max sat back down. I looked at the boy who was staring at our direction, of course another person in love with me. 

But It wasn't me that he was in love with, he was in love with someone else, someone cool.

Now that I look at this Max reminds me of Black Star from soul eater, I didn't mean that to happen. This also might not explain much about Nikki right now, but it will make more sense later on.
