The Talk

I walked into the house with all the lights off. I assumed my husband went to bed, but then as I walk in farther in the house I see a lamp on.

Nathan: Look who finally decided to show up. It's 12:45 where have you been.

Emmy: You legit saw us drive toward the bar so I and the girls were at the bar. What's it matter to you.

Nathan: oh nothing other than your my wife and it would have been nice to know where you were. Oh not to mention you have a kid.

Emmy: 1. you don't need to know where I am every second of the day. 2. She's not just mine she's yours as well.

Nathan. We don't know that she could be Joshes.

Emmy: Okay fine you wanna play that game fine you wanna say she ain't your kid well this isn't my ring

I took off my wedding band and threw it at him

Emmy: I'll be taking MY kid and I'll be leaving

Nathan: You can't be serious

I didn't respond I just picked up Emmalee and put her in my car but before I left I looked at Nathan.

Emmy: Dead serious

I drove to the closet place possible Rylie's considering she lived just a few blocks over

Emmalee: Momma why are we at Aunt Wywie's(shes five she can't speak properly)

Emmy: We're gonna spend the night here honey

She looked confused but agreed with me. The door opened and wasn't locked she is the number one detective in the state and her front door is unlocked. I started to walk to her bedroom to see both her and Ryley asleep I start investigating everything else after I lock Emmalee in the guest bedroom with the TV on and Grab Rylie's gun to investigate her house make sure everything is safe no one is here. I don't see anything missing as of right now not to mention it is dark so I lock her door and leave her a text that she might see in the morning saying that talking with Nathan did not go well and that me and Emmalee were in her guest bedroom.

I wake up to food being made and Emmalee gone out of my arms, so I get up and run over to the kitchen with a brush to throw at someone. When I scream to shock an intruder I end up shocking Ryley and he yells the most girlish scream ever. When my best friend comes walking in from the living 

Rylie: What the- Emmy put the brush down no one has intruded it's just us

I didn't put it down so she took it out of my hand

Rylie: Wanna tell me why I wake up and see a text saying that you're in my house with your kid in my guest bedroom and then you come into my kitchen screaming at my husband with a brush as your weapon

She sounded patient and kinda sarcastic like she wasn't mad at me when a cup of coffee is set in front of me

Emmy:  Bless you both

Rylie:  You can explain to me what happened after you drink some coffee

I downed my coffee and explained that well I blew up in Nathan's face again and that I stormed out and told her that her door was unlocked
