In the heart of Terra Cyclonia, Master Cyclonis rules with an iron fist. As her war with the Sky Knights continues to rage across Atmos, Master Cyclonis had assembled a squadron of her own to counter the Sky Knights. In the months that followed, the Shadow Collective had performed a variety of missions for her. One day in the Cyclonian Throne Room, Master Cyclonis meets with Kurogiri as well as the leader of the Shadow Collective: Tomura Shigaraki.

Master Cyclonis: Kurogiri. Tomura Shigaraki. So glad you could join me.

Kurogiri: Master Cyclonis. We are honored.

Master Cyclonis: I hear that All Might's Sky Knight Squadrons have been giving you trouble.

Kurogiri: They are a minor nuisance, Master Cyclonis. Despite these...irritants, we have been able to succeed with our missions.

Master Cyclonis: There are more to these Sky Knights then we would believe. Young as they are, they still pose a significant threat. As do the Storm Hawks. We must be cautious.

Kurogiri: We are at your command, Master Cyclonis. The Shadow Collective awaits your next orders.

As Kurogiri said this, Shigaraki remained silent. Master Cyclonis was quick to notice this. She could see the mad look in his eyes as his hand mask covered most of his face.

Master Cyclonis: Shigaraki. What have you to say?

Shigaraki paused for a moment as he showed no sign of emotion on his face. He simply approached her.

Shigaraki: All Might and his Sky Knights will die as with all the Sky Knights who cling to their meaningless ideals. If I'm being honest, seeing them preach their self righteous prattle really rubs me the wrong way. Heroes and villains both thrive on violence, but we're still categorized. "You're good." "You're evil." That's how it is! Symbol of peace? Hah! In the end you're just a tool for violence, made to keep us down! And violence only breeds more violence. These Sky Knights are just hypocrites who pretend that they are otherwise. Seeing them preach and preach and preach just makes me want to kill them even more.

Upon hearing this, Master Cyclonis became intrigued with Shigaraki's words. He seemed different than the rest of her chief lieutenants. Shigaraki was indifferent to gaining power as he only sought destruction for the sake of destruction. Master Cyclonis saw potential in Shigaraki.

Master Cyclonis: You have piqued my interest, Tomura Shigaraki. You show much potential. As for your cravings for...destruction, you will get your fill. The Sky Knights will soon fall and All Might shall die. And with All Might's death, Atmos shall be restored to it's proper place. The Cyclonian Empire will claim what is rightfully ours.

Kurogiri: We are yours to command.

Master Cyclonis: I have a mission for the Shadow Collective. As we speak, I am working on a doorway that will lead to the Far Side. With the Far Side, I will have access to long and forgotten powers that will make the Cyclonian Empire the undisputed power in Atmos. Seek out All Might's Squadrons. Show them the full wrath of the Cyclonian Empire. Give them a taste of what is to come.

Kurogiri: What of the Storm Hawks?

Master Cyclonis: Once I retrieve the powers from the Far Side, the Storm Hawks will fall in due time. Now go.

With that, Master Cyclonis had given her orders to Shigaraki and Kurogiri. They bowed their heads and left the Throne Room while Master Cyclonis prepared for her journey to the Far Side. Shigaraki and Kurogiri soon made their way to the hanger bay where the rest of the Shadow Collective standing next to their ship known as the Reaper.

Dabi: What did the boss have to say?

Shigaraki: Master Cyclonis has granted us with a....important mission. We are to seek out All Might's little Sky Knights and kill them.

Twice: AW HELL YES! LET'S KILL EM ALL! Maybe we should be cool about this? AW SCREW THAT!

Mr. Compress: These three Sky Knight squadrons have grown to become....quite the impressive lot.

Toga: Not to mention that some of them are actually pretty cute!

Shigaraki had grown to hate the Sky Knight Squadrons All Might had assembled not because that they were Sky Knights, but because they were simply associated with All Might. To Shigaraki, All Might represented everything that was wrong with the world. But he then remembers an encounter with the Cyclonian Killer Stain.

Stain: No matter what you want to accomplish, it is necessary to have conviction and desire. Those without it and those who are weak shall be weeded out. It is only natural. That is why you will die, Cyclonian!

As Stain's words repeated in Shigaraki's head, Shigaraki smiled a sadistic smile.

Shigaraki: (I'm your opposite, but you let me live, and now your ideals and convictions will all become a stepping stone for me. Now I know what I have to work towards....to create a world without All Might and show just how fragile society's sense of safety is. And from today, I'll call that my conviction.....all because of All Might!)

As Shigaraki lets out a sinister chuckle, he turns to his fellow Shadow Collective members.

Shigaraki: I think it's time we departed from Cyclonia. We have Sky Knights to hunt.

As the Shadow Collective boarded the Reaper and departed Terra Cyclonia to begin their hunt for the three squadrons All Might had assembled. In this moment, Shigaraki found the conviction he needed to enact his own plans for the Cyclonian Empire and Atmos as a whole.
