Finding an alt mode

The next morning when Moonracer woke up she could have sworn that she heard three younglings talking. She briefly wondered if Cliffjumper and Arcee finally decided to have little Autobots together. As she sat up she felt a little dizzy.

"Yip yip yip, you need to have some energon." Ratchet said as he rushed over to the med berth with a cube of energon.

"Don't tell me that I have to drink nasty low grade." Moonracer cringed.

"No, you can have regular." Ratchet said, giving her the cube.

"Thank you so much!" Moonracer said happily as she took the cube and started drinking.

Ratchet smiled as he watched Moonracer start drinking the energon. Moonracer vented happily as she tasted the sweet taste of the energon as she drank. It had been a while since she had anything this good.

"Moonracer, slow down." Ratchet scolded lightly.

Moonracer slowed down a little, savoring the energon. She disliked it when someone scolded her, but right now she wasn't going to argue. Once she was finished she placed the empty cube on a nearby counter.

"Now that you've had some energon, why don't you come meet Jack, Miko and Raf." Ratchet said.

"Who are they?" Moonracer asked him curiously.

"Some of our human friends." Ratchet replied as he went to go check something on a computer.

Moonracer slowly stood up after getting off the med berth. She wobbled around for a bit, but she finally got her balance. As she walked out of the med bay she saw three small creatures on a platform.

"Cool, another girl!" Miko said when she saw Moonracer.

"Um… Hi." Moonracer said shyly.

"What's your name? How did you get here? What do you transform into?" Miko asked as she leaned against the guard rail.

"My designation is Moonracer, Optimus, Bulkhead, Arcee and Ratchet came to save me last night and I don't have an Earth vehicle mode yet." Moonracer said, answering Miko's questions. 

"Awesome! My name is Miko, by the way." Miko said happily.

"My name is Raf." Raf said,introducing himself. 

"I'm Jack." Jack said, waving a little.

"So you're humans, I had no idea that you guys were so small. It's nice to meet the three of you" Moonracer said, walking over to the human area to get a better look.

"It's nice to meet you too." Raf said politely.

"Would you like some help with choosing an alt mode?" Jack asked Moonracer.

"Sure, if it's not too much trouble." Moonracer said, a smile appearing on her derma.

"Jack, be careful." Arcee told Jack.

"I know. I've done this before with Smokescreen, remember?" Jack asked Arcee.

"Yes, I remember." Arcee said, rolling her optics. 

Jack smiled as he and Moonracer left the base. They were careful not to be seen by anyone. Once they were on a cliff overlooking the highway Moonracer couldn't believe how many cars there were. 

"How do you humans have so many choices? I love most of them." Moonracer said in awe. 

"We just do." Jack said awkwardly, rubbing the back of his head. 

Moonracer watched all kinds of cars drive past. Some were a little old, but cute. Others were newer and looked faster. When she saw an Aston Martin she knew that she found her alt mode. After scanning the car her armor shifted to accommodate her new alt mode. 

Moonracer transformed into her new alt mode. Jack looked at her new alt mode in awe. He couldn't believe how good she looked as an Aston Martin. He knew that she was going to be fast. 

"Hop in." Moonracer said, opening her passenger door.

"Sure." Jack said as he got in and buckled the seatbelt. 

Moonracer closed the door behind him and waited a few moments. Once Jack was ready, Moonracer sped off towards the Autobot base. A trail of dust followed her, not that she minded. 

"This is amazing!" Moonracer said happily as she sped down the empty road.

"You're going to need to slow down when there are other humans around, we have traffic laws." Jack said seriously.

"Oh, I didn't know. I'm sorry." Moonracer said, slowing down a little. 

Jack smiled, relaxing a little. Once they returned to the Autobot base Moonracer let Jack get out of her alt mode before she transformed. Jack went back to the human area and the other Autobots came to see what was going on.

"Moonracer, is that really you? You've grown so much." Wheeljack said when he saw who had just transformed. 

"Jackie, it's great to see you again." Moonracer said, hugging her old friend. 

"Your alt mode looks great." Arcee said.

"Thanks." Moonracer said, happy that everyone liked her new alt mode.

The Vehicons and Eradicons were all silent as Megatron paced back and forth. They weren't sure what happened on the mission, but whatever it was it had their master angry. 

"Lord Megatron, might I ask why you're pacing?" Starscream asked nervously.

"I lost a potential prisoner, you fool!" Megatron yelled, turning to face his SIC. 

Starscream's optics widened and his wings went down as Megatron walked over to him. Megatron slapped Starscream hard, sending him flying across the room. Megatron turned around and looked out the window. Starscream slowly stood up and limped away. As usual, he was going to the med bay. 

"Breakdown, be a dear and get me my buffer." Knockout said as Starscream walked in.

"Uh, Doc." Breakdown said awkwardly.

"Breakdown, I need my buffer." Knockout said again, still not noticing Starscream.

"Knockout, we have a visitor." Breakdown told Knockout.

Knockout turned around and saw Starscream sitting on one of the med berths. He couldn't help but notice a small cut on the Seeker's left cheek. Knockout got something to patch the small cut up with.

"Megatron?" Knockout asked Starscream.

"Who else?" Starscream asked.

"What has Buckethelm angry now?" Knockout asked.

"He and Soundwave lost some potential prisoner last night." Starscream said as Knockout finished fixing his cut.

"He's been having more dark energon again." Knockout stated. 

"He always does." Starscream said, wishing that the war didn't exist. 

Knockout and Breakdown looked at each other, wishing the same thing. Knockout suggested that they should all watch a movie. Starscream agreed, not wanting to go back to the bridge where Megatron was.
