Chapter 11: Good And Bad

"Finn Richards and Tayler holder?" A doctor said while coming through the double doors.

~Nicole's pov~
Tears were flooding down my face as bryce, Josh and I walked over to the doctor to hear the news.

"You guys are related to the two how?" The doctor asked before saying anything about their condition.

"Me and him are Finns parents, and me and the other one are Taylers siblings." I said while wiping my tears.

The doctor nodded and said "ok I will just give it to you straight. Tayler is going to be ok, just a minor head injury.. nothing big."

I nodded and said "a-and what about Finn..?"

The doctor looked down to his feet, then back up while shaking his head no and saying "we did all we could. We are sorry."

"No.. No this can't be all you could do!" I said while bursting into tears.

"Ms we are sorry." The doctor said as he walked away.

I fell to the ground as tears came pouring out of my eyes. Josh lifted me up and hugged me as he cried.

"H-he's g-gone.." I said into joshs shoulder.

Josh nodded and said "y-yeah.. it's ok princess, he's in a better place and you know it.."

I nodded and walked back over to everyone else with josh. Before I could sit down, Charli stood up to hug me and whispered "what happened..?"

I cried into her shoulder while saying "f-Finns g-gone."

I felt Charli hug me tighter and a few tears roll down my back. "N-Nik I'm sorry.." she said while holding onto my shoulders and looking into my eyes.

I just simply nodded and sat back down between josh and bryce, Maggie now on my lap.

"Mommy where's finny?" She asked while looking up from her game.

I looked at josh and broke down into tears again. I didn't have the heart to tell her so instead, I simply hugged her.

The doctor let josh and I go in to see Finn one last time, so we went. When we got into the room, I stood next to the bed holding joshs hand, and looked at Finn.

My poor baby was only two. Two years old. Can you imagine the pain I'm going through seeing this?!

I walked closer to the bed and kissed finna forehead. My tears gently hit against his face as I leaned over.

Josh kisses his forehead too, the. Pulled me into a tight hug. We were both in pain. Too much pain for me to tolerate. If this happened to me three years ago, I would've handled it totally differently.

"Alright, we need to take care of this now so I'm gonna have to ask you to leave. But, you can go see tayler now, he's awake." The doctor said while coming into the room.

I nodded and josh and I went to Taylers room. When we got there, bryce was already outside waiting for us with Maggie. I guess all of the Others stayed back.

We all went into the room and sat down around Tayler. He saw us crying and said "what are the tears for?"

They didn't tell him.

I looked up at him and said "f-Finns gone."

He was confused and said "someone took him?!"

I shook My head and said "n-no.. dad shot him. He didn't make it.."

I could see the emotions going through Tayler. Sadness and pure anger.

"Oh.. Nik come here.." he said while putting his arms out. I started to cry again as I walked over to tayler.

He pulled me into a big hug and said "I tried Nik. I really did. When he busted through the doors I held him back for as long as I could. Thank god the twins had my phone in the basement.. this is my fault!"

"Tayler no.. no it's not. You can't blame anyone but dad.. those kids have never done anything to him that he had any right to hurt them." I said while tears continued down my face.

"You guys go home, I can watch Maggie so you have tjme alone, alright?" Bryce said while lifting up maggie onto his lap.

I looked at josh and he nodded while standing up, taking my hand. We both walked out of the room, through the waiting room.

"You guys ok?" Jaden asked while giving us each a hug. I didn't respond, just simply shook my head no.

Jaden just nodded and let us go. Josh and I sat in the car, Josh in the drivers seat and me in the passengers seat.

Josh held his head against the steering wheel and cried his eyes out. Jesus I hate seeing him like this.

I rubbed his back and said "j-joshy what n-now.."

"I-i don't know p-princess.." he said between tears.

When we got home, we went to the basement and all I could see was the same thing I saw when we got there last.

I walked over to the bathroom and stood infront of the mirror, looking at my reflection. All I could see was every little detail finn and I shared. The small freckles, baby blue eyes, and the hair. The light blonde hair.

Josh cane and stood behind me, his arms around my waist, looking into the mirror. Both of our faces were bright red from crying.

Josh pulled me back and we both sat on the bathroom floor crying. We cried so much we each fell asleep.
