Prologue

"If you want to keep that abomination inside of you then ... leave!" Cronus holding back his wrath towards his 2nd child "I almost slaughtered your brother, don't let me be a monster again" slammed the door loudly as he left the room

"Hera" Rhea helping her daughter to stand up from kneeling on the floor "It's not too late, you can still abort that child, you don't have to suffer"

"Forgive me mama, I've been carrying this child for almost 4 months now, I won't commit murder even if it kills me" Hera crying out to her mother

"My child!" Rhea burst into tears while hitting Hera "What have you done?! Why are you doing this to me?! Am I a bad mother to you?!" losing her strength to stand up when she fell to the floor while holding Hera's hand "You and your brother?! Why did you two commit such thing?!"

"Forgive me mama" Hera down on her knees again to beg for her mother's forgiveness "Forgive me, I'm the oldest, it's my fault, blame it all on me"

"If you want my forgiveness ... then go for abortion, we can still get things straight if that child won't exist!" Rhea giving Hera a sharp gaze "Kill it!"

"I can't!" Hera stands up "If being exiled can protect my child ... I'll do it ... I leave everything behind for this child to stay alive!" with words full of conviction Hera left her mother on the floor "I can't let anyone harm my child and that includes this family" walked out from the room with sadness

Hera left their mansion without anything on her, just the clothes and shoes she was wearing that time. When she reached the gate of their residence her paternal grandfather's car past by her and stopped to wait for her to catch up. The car door has been opened for her to get in, and when she got in, the head of the Nevaeh clan looked at her coldly, enough for her to chill through her bones.

"If your parents given up on you then I have to step up" Uranus, he's 69 ½ years old but still a tall and handsome man, everyone refers him as a god-like human because of his perfection in every way "I'll provide what you need as long as you continue studying, it's a shame if you won't graduate in high school, you'll have home schooling in Jeonju on your senior year" waiting for her granddaughter's reaction from his proposition

"Thank you, Lolo Uranus" Hera bowed her head with gratefulness towards Uranus "To be honest I didn't know where to go and what to do, thank you"

"I'm only supporting your education, you have to take care of your own child, that's our family rule" Uranus being firm with his own set of rules

"I understand, I'll figure something out to make a living for my child" Hera appreciates the support from Uranus, the least person she expected help

5 months later, Hera bore a daughter, a week before her 18th birthday. Since nobody should know about the child's existence, Hera successfully delivered the child through traditional way, like how mothers gave birth to their children during Joseon period.

On Hera's 18th birthday, Cronus pulled out her aides to let her live on her own, independence was her present from his father. Hera has to live on her own without her aides who tend to her needs, she could still live in the villa for free in exchange of her continuous study but her food and other necessities it's all up to her how she gets it, in addition, there's a week-old baby depending on her.

Fortunately, the backyard got planted vegetables and fruits so she survived for a few weeks but she won't survived without meat or even fish, taking into account that she just gave birth and she need to regain her energy completely for the two of them. She tried selling the flowers in the garden, her clothes that Uranus provided her before, and even joined the singing competition in the province, just to earn money.

When Hera received her high school diploma, Rhea made a proposal as her graduation gift. She could go back home if and only if she put her daughter to an orphanage. Her mother knew how hard it was for her to be on her own with someone dependent on her and without money to spend at all. Hera and her baby barely survive a day, she always worries where to get their food on the next day.

Hera was still young, she knew she couldn't do anything yet on her own, so she agreed with her mother. She left her 6 2/3 months old daughter to an orphanage in Goyang, a day before she finally returned home. It was a wise choice that Hera made for both of them, she's not ready to be a mother yet, she tried so hard to pull herself together but it wasn't good enough, she knew she needed to let go of her pride for the sake of living.

After a year of being exiled, coming back to her old life seems new to her. Living with her parents and siblings in a mansion where she's comfortable without worrying for tomorrow, that's what she wanted when she's living in misery, but still a night won't passed by without her crying until she falls asleep. She was good as dead but she needed to keep on fighting because she still believes that she could be together with her child again.

4 years later, Hera graduated from college, on her first job she turned down all the offers in Seoul and chose the hospital in Goyang. Her parents opposed first but she promised not to do anything stupid. For 9 months, she could only look from afar to her daughter, she got no courage to get near her child she abandoned. It's the best for the child not to know that her parents committed a mortal sin who broke the moral law and principles.

If not for Hera's child education, she won't quit her job in Goyang, since Seoul hospitals pays better and she's sponsoring her daughter necessities secretly, she signed the 1-year contract with Jong Hyun Medical Center. Her only goal was to earn more money to provide a better education to her child, improving her career as a nurse is just a plus factor, but then life has full of surprises.

Hera thought that she couldonly live in penitence for the rest of her life, she didn't deserve a chance tobe happy or be love, but Jun Oh came along unexpectedly.
