The months flew by in the wedding planning. I had never experienced a more blissful five months in my entire life.
Firstly, I had been selected for the Quidditch Team as a Chaser. We had thrown a massive party for it and everyone was invited. It really had been a beautiful evening:
"And there she comes! Chaser of the Appleby Arrows and my future wife, Alice Malvolio!" said Fred in a commentator like voice as I descended down the staircase into the crowded living room of Fred and George's tiny flat. Everyone clapped and congratulated me, I had never been more proud of an achievement in my entire life.
Secondly, Bella, even with her prosthetic leg, had made it to the Hufflepuff Quidditch Team at Hogwarts, I knew that she would be even better than me as she grew older. She could easily make it on any Quidditch Team she wanted to. She had also started dating Dennis Creevey, who she had been crushing on for ages.
Thirdly, the wedding planning was a lot of fun. Mrs. Weasley had really gone all out, even though we wanted a very simple wedding. Even Fleur had immersed herself in the planning completely. Honestly, I was kind of glad because that meant that I could spend more time with Fred.
Fred had asked George to be his best man and Hermione was my maid-of-honour and Ginny and Bella were my bridesmaids. George had earlier offered to walk me down the aisle but I knew how much Fred hand wanted him to be his best man. Surprisingly, Ron offered to walk me down the aisle instead.
"Er Alice?"
"Yea Ron?"
"You've been like a sister to me and I really do love you. I was wondering if you'd like me to walk you down the aisle?" he asked, twiddling his thumbs nervously.
I immediately wrapped him in a hug,
"I'd love it Ron, thank you!"
'Well I wasn't going to let you walk down that aisle alone'
We had sent out the invitations and everyone had RSVP'd. Everyone except for two people. Draco and my mum. I understood why my mum couldn't reply but I really wanted Draco to make it.
Which is why today, I decided I would visit the two of them. There was something I wanted Draco to do.
First, I went to St, Mungo's. I showed the receptionist the visitor's pass I had recently acquired and went to where my mum was. She had started to talk a little bit but she didn't recognise me as her daughter. She only knew me as the girl who came and met her sometimes.
I sat next to her bed on a chair and took her hand in mine.
"I'm getting married in two weeks mum" I said, she looked at me curiously.
"I want you to be there" I said. I looked up at the Healer next to her bed.
"Can she come to my wedding?" I asked.
"She can but she will have to come with a Healer. It's illegal to let wizards or witches who have lost their memory to go alone anywhere" she said.
"That's alright, as long as she can come, will you come mum?" I asked, turning back to her.
She nodded slowly, not completely understanding what I was asking her.
"I have a dress I'd like you to wear" I said, pulling it out from my bag and placing it on top of her. She looked at it weakly before a crooked smile reached her face. She poked the plastic wrapping of the dress.
"I'll make sure she's there, I'll be coming with her" said the Healer kindly.
After I was done visiting my mother, I made my way to Malfoy Manor. When I entered it, horrible memories came rushing into my mind. Terrible, terrible things had happened here. But I had put all of that in the past, I was ready to continue my life without having to think about any of that.
