Beastars Rewritten Season 1 (Old Version - Rework in Progress)

Author's Addendum + Editors Note

So yeah... we have reached the end of this little Journey.

It is the first of many... I promise that.

Since about 2016 I wanted to start writing fanfiction, and I have been thinking up stories since 2013. It all really started with the release of Zootopia which begun my interest in fanfiction.

I started reading works like WastedTimeEE's amazing Dawn bellwether fics "The Rehabilitation of Dawn Bellwether" and "Lamb among Wolves". Or the amazing fic "Zootopia: A New Adventure" by determined725.

Then I was hit by the stress of moving and I kinda lost the energy to really think about writing my own stuff.

I started reading Stephen King shortly after we had properly moved in. It reminded me of the fact that I still wanted to write, so I started to plan the plot of some of my original stories. But school rolled around and once again all plans of productivity went out of the window.

Then last year I started to hear murmuring and talking about a show that featured an animal academy. So I thought that it was a cheesy teen show I wouldn't enjoy.

This year opens up pretty terribly, and keeps getting progressively... Interesting? that's the way I would like to say. And like most people during quarantine, I'm really bored and have no idea what to do, so I just go "Fuck it" and started watching.

As it turns out, I really like this show, but I can't seem to help it but think "Damn... Legosi is kinda a pushover... and he and Juno would be Adorable."

And here we are. I finished after what feels like a week of continuous writing, even if it took up an entire month. And now we are at the end of my first little story. A simple rewrite to appease my nerves because of the weird plot decisions in Beastars.

Overall just wanted to say thank you for all the people who read and enjoyed my little rewrite of season one. My editor and I are thinking about starting another story in this AU as a slice of life collection about their married life. So that's one thing to look forward to.

I Will release a Zootopia fic soon, due to me dying to write one. It will be a human insert and before you even start, I know how often it's been done to varying degrees of success, but I wanted to give it my own spin.

I want to give special thanks to my Club, the Toybox who have been nothing but supportive over this entire period where I finally do what I wanted to do since forever.

Hey folks! SuperAverageFoxyboy here. This was actually my first time editing for someone else so I was quite nervous. Plus, we live in very different timezones so that didn't help at all, but I think in the end, it all turned out quite alright. This is probably thanks to the fact that Portal was really flexible when it came to anytime I suggested any major changes to the story. I think that Portal did a great job on his first fic and I look forwards to whatever else he's got in store for us!

Not much left to say after that. I'll just say as a self-plug that I've got my own slice-of-life Oneshot collection that I plan to do sometime soon involving Zootopia in the same vein as Cimar of Turalis Wildehopps's "Fluff Files." I actually did a bit of work with Cimar on Fluff Files as well if you want to check that out.
