You were hanging around the main house, Toby within your vicinity, the two of you not talking after a recent fight where you called him stupid. He didn't like that.

It had been nearly an hour since you two had spoken to eachother. The other proxies had vacated the room and every now and then Slenderman appeared to check up on the pair of you.

It was pretty hard to tell what you were thinking, that went for both of you, but Toby wasn't currently wearing his goggles. You saw how every now and then he would glance over, trying to get a reading on you, regardless of the full face mask you wore.

You wore the mask because of a disfigurement you had caused to yourself awhile back. Toby whinced at the memory. You suffered from DDD, among other things, and when you would essentially 'back out' of yourself, you would get extremely paranoid. He remembered how you had clawed at your own face, having tried desperately to reattach yourself to, well, yourself. How your hands had sunk so violently into your cheeks and how strips of flesh had come off in chunks. Even he thought it was quite horrific. Having watched you tear of your own eyelids, chunks of your lips. How the bones seemed to push through your flesh even after you were restrained.

He remembered how he had felt undeniably hollow as you were rushed to retrieve medical attention. How something just felt missing in him as he sat by you everyday, until you finally opened up your eyes again.

He looked back over for a third time, you hadn't moved even an inch in the last fourty minutes. Toby groaned out, standing up, readying himself to pull his boyfriend out of whatever mental decline he was in. He was still angry, but that would have to be put on pause.

Though before he made it over to the other couch, something caught the corner of his eye, and he stopped in his tracks. His breath hitched as a usual fear rumbled through his chest.

"I'm sorry."

The gravely voice quickly caught his attention. Toby looked back over to [Y/n], he had his hand out to him, and Toby could see that his other hand had very distinct nail marks bleeding into the palm.

"You're not stupid. I'm sorry." Toby grabbed his hand, allowing himself to be led to the seat beside him.

For a moment, they were silent, apart from the occasional common tics Toby exuded. The calm and the repetitive pattern of [Y/n]'s thumb running across Toby's knuckles taking away any fear that had been created.

"Can I see you?" Toby's hand traced the bottom of the mask, though before he could lift the white surface his wrist was grabbed.  "Ah- shit!" He shook his head quickly when you looked at him, showing that he wasn't hurt. You let go of his wrist with a sigh, allowing him to lift the white and [F/c] mask.

The object was set down on the coffee table, Toby instantly turning back to meet your one [E/c] eye. The other had a bandage and a moist pack on to keep it from drying out with the lack of an eyelid. Your skin was a patchy mess of scar tissue, and your lips were jagged with scars. You never smiled. It hurt too much to do so, but you would always do this small thing that Toby found adorable, when you would tilt your head up and hum.

"I'll try to stop cracking my hands so much." Toby murmered, placing a hand on your cheek. He knew that you had only been mad cause the noise ran right through you, your poor vision led you to rely on your hearing mist of the time, and he knew he could cause some problems there with his tics.

"No, I'm sorry I got so mad, I know you can't help it." Your lips barely moved when you talked, and your voice came out muffled and gravely. You moved closer to him, resting your head against his shoulder. He smiled behind his mouth mask, running his fingers through your fluffy hair.

"Yeah, I know." He smirked, eyes lighting up when he heard that usual deep hum of a laugh in your throat.

"Cheeky shit."
